As the Office Manager in our newly opened New York office, you will be the go-to person for all things office-related. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our workplace while enhancing employee experience. You'll be responsible for managing office logistics, supporting employees, overseeing visitor coordination, and executing operational tasks. With the fast-paced growth of our NY site, this role offers significant opportunities for ownership, problem-solving, and creativity.

What you will be doing

  • Office & Facilities Management: Ensure the NY office operates efficiently by managing supplies, equipment, and facilities, working closely with the building management team. Support and collaborate with other general and administration functions of the UK team - HR, finance, IT and recruitment.
  • Employee & Visitor Experience: Be the main point of contact for employees, candidates, executives, and other visitors. Manage visitor check-ins, workspace setup, and overall office hospitality.
  • Snack & Supplies Coordination: Oversee snack services, order office supplies, and maintain a well-stocked, functional workspace.
  • Events & Engagement: Plan and execute office events, fun days, and employee experiences with budget approval from JaQuise.
  • Problem-Solving & Execution: Tackle operational challenges proactively and adapt to a rapidly changing office environment, including spatial planning for a growing team (from 10 to 18 employees in the next 2 months).

Your skills and experience

  • 1+ years of experience in office administration, operations, or people operations, preferably in a high-tech or startup environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
  • A proactive, “get-it-done” attitude with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – a true people person with a can-do approach.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using office management tools and systems.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Event planning and employee experience coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with the needs of a rapidly growing office environment.
  • Previous exposure to high-tech company culture and workplace dynamics - a big plus
  • Ability to work from our New York office 5 days a week. Flexible hours, and late hours for special events.

Benefits

  • Expected base salary range is $58,000-$70,000.
