Our New York City Brokerage team is looking for an experienced and solutions-orientated Operations Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for developing and managing brokerage support professionals and will work closely with the executive leadership team to run the business and implement strategic initiatives. This position will partner with our two Managing Directors of Brokerage to support our Office Leasing business.
The ideal candidate is highly strategic, growth/business orientated, has proven ability to influence at a leadership level, keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. This role requires a high level of accountability, adaptability, and collaboration.

Job Description

Key responsibilities
  • Serve as the strategic advisor and business partner to the local Managing Principal, Director of Brokerage & Operations Director in all aspects of the business

  • Assist with brokerage agreement review and execution and file management

  • Build strong trusted relationships with the executive leadership team, brokerage professionals, colleagues and reports

  • Optimize operating processes and creatively solve problems to ensure the business operates in an efficient and effective manner

  • Lead and support critical projects based on emergent business needs

  • Provide formal leadership, mentoring and supervision to administrative and brokerage support professionals

  • Lead performance management, employee coaching and counseling in partnership with our People Partner

  • Promote CRM usage and maintain data accuracy for pipeline and revenue reporting

  • In partnership with the Operations finance team, assist with financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, AR/AP processing, BDA, OTT and expense tracking and approvals

  • Review and approve expenses ensuring compliance with policies

  • Manage summer intern programing in partnership with the Early in career team

  • Organize, assist, oversee and lead internal meetings and events

  • Work with the Director of Operations on projects and business continuity issues

  • Responsible for partnering with talent acquisition on all recruiting and onboarding

  • Manage the employee experience, including onboarding of new hires, preparing space and equipment etc.

  • Manage offboarding of brokerage professionals and support employees

  • Manage broker licenses, and educational requirements and follow up on any delinquencies or upcoming actions required

  • Coordinate office moves and confirm seating plans with the Facilities team, working in conjunction with IT, and management

  • Ensure corporate standards and internal company processes and systems are leveraged and adhered to

  • Assist with planning and execution of events both small and large scale to foster a positive and inclusive office culture

  • In the absence of a Broker Support Professional role, perform administrative duties such as concierge support, booking travel, answering phones, managing conference spaces, receiving guests, cleaning kitchens and conference spaces, collecting and distributing mail, submitting maintenance requests etc.

Role will report to the Director of Operations, New York City

Background and Experience

Demonstrated experience should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 3+ years of managerial experience required

  • 3+ years of operational or project management experience

  • 3+ years of executive level support experience preferred

Competencies

  • Thrives in a fast-paced and fluid environment and embraces multi-tasking diverse projects

  • Exposure to project and process management

  • Proven ability in conflict resolution

  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills

  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills

  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Workday and Expense software

  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage processes

  • Knowledge of HR practices, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, employee relations, and staff development

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $ 110,500.00 - $130,000.00
