In this role, the Senior Quality Engineer will develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols in a fast paced, heavy manufacturing environment. Responsible for ensuring requirements are met through the various operations processes across multiple vehicle platforms. Depended upon for their exceptional ability to work independently, the Engineer will be charged to define specific tasks and priorities to support operations quality to include providing direction to inspection personnel as required.
NOTE: This position is the weekend shift, 5 AM - 5 PM Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree in an engineering or technical discipline with at least two(2+) years of related experience, or the overall equivalent;
- Requires a solid understanding of Quality Assurance / Quality Control fundamentals and principles with previous working experience in a Quality Assurance / Quality Control role;
- Experience operating within ISO 9001 standard;
- Strong background in problem solving techniques (A3, 5-Why, DMAIC, etc);
- Proficiency in standard and industry related software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database applications;
- Excellent problem solving skills and analytical ability;
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills;
- Capable of working independently;
- Ability to support on the weekend shift.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Preferred but not required background:
- Experience leading or supervising a team;
- ASQ certification;
- Experience working in a quality program in support of government contracts, preferably DoD;
- Formal training in root cause analysis;
- Experience implementing APQP in a low-rate, technically complex product environment.
