Vimeo OTT is searching for a junior engineer to tackle support escalations. We're a department within Vimeo that caters to larger customers who want to deliver video with their own brand. Here, your impact will be felt immediately, with happier clients, staff, and fellow developers.

OTT is a multi-faceted platform, where you'll learn about billing and payment systems, video delivery, data collection, background processing, and much more. You will work closely with the Support and Solutions teams, handling escalations and knocking out bugs. When greater expertise is called for, we expect you to lean into your organization and communication skills to involve other engineering teams.

What you'll do:

• Triage, investigate, and fix support issues.
• Funnel work to product, platform, and application engineering teams when deeper expertise is required.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Support, and Solutions teams.
• Join the engineering culture of OTT and Vimeo at-large, and participate in retros, outings, talks, and more.
• Identify and build tools to improve the support experience.

Skill and knowledge you should possess:

• CS degree or equivalent training. 
• 6 mo. to 1 year of professional development experience. 
• Great communication skills, both written and verbal. 
• Knowledge of the tools — Ruby/Rails, JavaScript, SQL, Git, Jira, etc.
• Enthusiasm and strong desire to learn.
