Global Experiences Lead

The Global Experiences Lead will be responsible for creating experiences to support and elevate Meetup’s organizers and our brand. Organizers are the face of Meetup; they create life changing experiences for members around the world, and build community IRL.

This is a newly created position. We are looking for someone who is a strong leader and demonstrates the ability to shape their own role. The Head of Global Experiences will lead the design and execution of high touch IRL gatherings and activations to celebrate organizers and drive brand resonance.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the design and execution of global annual events to elevate and celebrate Meetup’s most impactful organizers, including our annual Togetherfest and Meetup Day.
• Build a team of brand aligned external partners to bring experiences to life.
• Collaborate with our Brand and Community team to leverage our NY headquarters to host Meetup organizers and create interactive experiences for employees
• Partner with business units and WeWork to create experiences for our organizers to bring our brand to life in key markets (ex. creator awards)
• Collaborate with cross functional partners to amplify experiences

You are someone who:

• Has 5+ years of experience creating and executing small and medium scale events in real life, such as brand activations, experiential marketing, loyalty programs, customer off-site meetings, etc.
• Has successfully created and executed experiences that results in participants feeling celebrated and energized
• Melds creative and operational tactics to create thoughtful experiences
• Believes in the power of organizers to change the world
• Naturally builds authentic and impactful relationships
• Dreams big and creates from a place of possibility
• Motivated by new opportunities and dares to do big things
• Plus- if you are a Meetup user or organizer

This role is based in New York with moderate travel - domestic and international (10% of the time).
