Manager, Global Product and UX Research

Discovery is seeking an enthusiastic Global Product and UX Research Manager to join our experienced and collaborative in-house Digital Consumer Insights team. This is a fantastic opportunity to generate and share insights with highly engaged stakeholders that value and understand the importance of UX Research to support the Global Product and Design teams. Your work will span a range of both quantitative and qualitative research such as surveys, usability testing, concept tests, diary studies and other applicable methods as needed. You will directly influence the development of digital products used by millions of customers - Web, Mobile and Connected TVs - with a strong focus on the newly launched discovery+ app, the job scope includes our suite of TV Everywhere apps (e.g., Discovery GO, TLC GO, HGTV GO, and more.)

Responsibilities
- Support Product and UX Research Director in the design and execution of a range of types of research studies, both qualitative and quantitative that you lead and assign to the UX Researchers on your team
- Assist in the programming and design set up for both surveys and moderated / unmoderated interviews
- Synthesize and analyze data collected from surveys, usability testing and other research studies; translate research insights into actionable recommendations and direction
- Assist in day-to-day relationships and project logistics with external and internal partners
- Act as a knowledge source on the offerings and feature sets of competitive sites and apps
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of study
- 5+ years of experience designing and executing custom/primary research studies (quantitative research methodologies, survey design, data analysis)
- Strong critical thinking skills; ability to translate research findings into easily digestible, actionable insights
- Highly organized and detail oriented; ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
- Expertise working in Excel and PowerPoint; prior experience with data analysis tools a plus
- Prior experience with usability research (remote or in-person) a must; both moderated and unmoderated experience preferred
- Prior experience or passion for working with digital media brands is a plus
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States
