DESCRIPTION

Bluecore’s Office Manager is fundamental in ensuring that all operational aspects of our cool and fast-growing HQ are running smoothly. In tandem with the People team, you will be a cultural conductor that is responsible for creating and maintaining an environment where our employees love to work.

This role sits on our Business Operations team and will work across all teams at Bluecore. We know that no two days are the same, and we actively plan for and respond to anything that’s thrown our way. If you’re someone who can order in chaos, and thrive when faced with new and interesting problems, you may flourish in this role. With infectiously positive attitudes, we strive to make everything run seamlessly on a daily basis by knocking out numerous projects fast.

  • Be the face of our NYC headquarters!
    • Greet, welcome and direct guests
    • People keep sending us mail, it’d be awesome if you could receive that as well as the occasional courier
    • We provide catered lunch, you’ll coordinate with our caterers and help set up
    • Ensuring everyone is ready to go on their first day with a desk, swag and trainings
  • Manage the execution of all operational aspects of our office and remote locations: real estate projects, kitchen, maintenance, shipping, space planning, etc
  • Establish and improve vendor relations (food, janitorial, office supplies, etc.), with a bias towards automation
  • Liaise with property managers and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of building and space issues
  • Identify office inefficiencies and create processes and solutions built to scale
  • Help plan, support, and execute office events and external conferences
  • Help keep our space neat and tidy
  • Order and track office supplies and office food (lunches, snacks, beverages) based on budget allowance
  • Stock supplies for the office and meeting rooms
  • Think creatively and proactively to improve and build on our fun office culture
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and other office duties when you can
REQUIREMENTS
  • University degree or 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Exhibits high degrees of dedication, flexibility, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Ability to creatively and efficiently execute against several competing tasks and projects. Focus on effective teamwork with the capability to thrive in an autonomous environment
  • You’re level-headed and able to handle stressful situations in a calm and thoughtful manner
  • You can organize like nobody else and are a multi-tasking superstar
  • You’ve got an outgoing personality & know how to communicate nicely as well as forcefully. Oh and you just getother people / are empathetic
  • You are super-patient and can maintain a positive attitude even when you’re interrupted a lot
  • Bonus if you have worked in tech or at a startup that has relocated
