About the role
We’re looking for an Office Manager to own the day-to-day operations of our new office and build a world-class workplace experience. As the go-to person for office management, operations, and culture, you’ll be a champion to our employees and guests by ensuring our office environment is like no other!
As our first Office Manager, you’ll get the chance to help us create the best workplace and have lots of autonomy and impact. You will report to our VP of People.
This role is based in NYC and you’ll be expected to be in the office 4 days a week.
What you’ll do:
- Create memorable first impressions by fostering a personable and welcoming environment for employees and guests (i.e. investors, candidates, customers, etc.)
- Oversee day-to-day operations, promptly addressing inquiries or requests and proactively anticipating questions or concerns
- Build strong, productive relationships with vendors, contractors, and building management to ensure operational excellence and safety compliance
- Ensure our common areas and meeting rooms are well maintained and prepared for meetings, interviews, and company events
- Partner with IT to maintain office equipment functionality and manage inventory
- Facilitate our catering program by ensuring our office is fully stocked with healthy snacks and refreshments, and by partnering with Sharebite, our food ordering platform, to coordinate weekly catered lunch
- Provide administrative support as needed, including managing budgets for culture and office-related expenses, scheduling appointments and meetings, maintaining filing systems, overseeing our office supply inventory, and mailing and shipping packages.
- Execute company initiatives and events that foster an inclusive culture and fulfilling workplace experiences for our NYC-based and remote employees
- Serve as a Radar ambassador and be committed to cultivating a best-in-class culture
You have:
- 0-4 years of office management experience, preferably at a startup, with an emphasis on office coordination, facilities management, and event planning
- A track record of delivering great workplace experiences
- Expert proficiency with G-Suite (i.e. Google Sheets, Google Slides, etc.)
- Ability to manage budgets and service-levels agreements
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects
- Problem solver mentality, with the tendency to proactively anticipate questions and resolve roadblocks to improve office operations
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build strong, productive relationships with employees, guests, and vendors
