The Role:

The Catalog Approvals Coordinator will own Newsela’s Catalog Approvals program, ensuring that RFP Catalog  approvals are in place for key accounts. You’ll also help increase visibility into the opportunities surfaced from the approvals that are won. You’ll directly support our Field Sales team by handling requests for documentation, and will build and maintain a best-in-class repository of reusable resources to support catalog RFP completion. You will collaborate with the Proposal Writer and RFP Coordinator to create a system that is up-to-date and contains relevant solutions, and tracks upcoming, current, and expiring approvals. As part of these efforts, you’ll also develop a system for tracking the impact of catalog approvals on opportunities and closed-won deals.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

You have the opportunity to join a growing team at Newsela that will directly inform the strategic decisions made by the Sales team, as well as help inform our product roadmap. You’ll work collaboratively to make Newsela's catalog and RFP responses some of the best in the industry, helping design and refine new internal processes and systems. Your work will also help enable Newsela to scale and expand our reach, ultimately bringing engaging, culturally responsive learning content into the hands of K-12 students and teachers nationwide.

Why We’ll Love You:

With 2+ years of experience in a sales support role, you also have 2+ years of experience working in Salesforce and are proficient in project management systems (Monday.com, Asana, Trello, etc.). You have demonstrated success communicating with procurement departments and portal technical support to proactively solve potential roadblocks, and are comfortable owning processes for obtaining documentation including 1295 forms and insurance certificates. You’re an expert project manager who can develop and maintain new systems while iterating on a process to produce the best, most scalable outcomes. While not a requirement, experience writing approvals or grants is a plus.

About Newsela:

One of the fastest growing tech companies in K-12 education, Newsela was founded on the principle that while every child may have unique learning preferences, they all deserve a rich learning experience that ignites a love of learning.
