THE STORY

Like most guys, we just wanted getting dressed to be easy. But somewhere along the way things got complicated. Nothing seemed to fit quite right, quality was lacking, and shopping was a painful exercise of trial and error. There were somehow way too many options, or none. And whenever we did find something we liked, we knew it would be a little different the next time we looked. So, we decided to fix that.

We started with underwear and socks, things that could make you more comfortable every single day. Since then, we’ve gone on to reinvent other essentials that didn’t meet our standards for comfort, performance, quality, or design. If you only need one version of it, we make the best possible version—and once we get it right, we don’t change a thing.

THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Store Manager to join our team. In this role you’ll have the ability to flex those entrepreneurial muscles by launching our very first brick and mortar location. You will be leading our retail efforts from developing a customer engagement and performance focused store team to leading the operational logistics of inventory and budget management. Cross-functionally, you will be the key liaison between the store team and HQ department heads to work closely to achieve company and store goals. You will partner with our HQ team to define and execute retail initiatives that will maximize store performance. Externally, you will lead the store team to deliver an exceptional Mack Weldon omnichannel guest experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Team Coaching and Development - Recruit, hire, and develop an effective, motivated, and successful team. Instil a culture that is aligned with the goals of the store. Continue with the development of each individual’s success and upkeep of any Human Resources processes.
  • Sales Performance Management - Cultivate a selling environment to meet and exceed sales goals with an emphasis on the customer life cycle from acquisition to loyal repeat behavior. Promote a selling culture focused on exceptional customer experience and relationship building. Develop and execute KPI-driven visual merchandising strategies in partnership with the Product & Merchandising Team.
  • Store Operations Management - Plan, lead, and manage daily operations of the store, including but not limited to staff scheduling, customer support, product aftercare, and inventory processing. Ensure that store operating procedures are defined and effective; continuously identify areas for operational efficiency.
  • Business Performance Analysis - Review and analyze store KPIs and performance reporting. Develop action plans for individual team members and store performance goals. Conduct in-depth analysis on store performance and local market trends that impact the business. Partner with Merchandise Planning team to ensure that assortment matches that of the store’s market and operational needs. Proactively plan and react according to the trend of the local market and store business.
  • Store Marketing and Events - Partner with HQ team to understand company wide marketing goals and develop store-level marketing strategies to increase traffic and brand awareness. Plan and execute marketing events to maximize store productivity. Cultivate relationships with prospective vendors and partners.
  • Budget Management - Control costs and budgets to align with the company’s financial goals including but not limited to operational costs such as payroll, shipping and receiving, and vendor management.

WHAT WILL SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS

  • Minimum 3 years in a retail leadership role
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with the proven ability to work in a fast-paced growing business
  • Ability to adapt and deal with ambiguity
  • Confidence in making effective, autonomous, and group decisions in a timely manner
