Oracle Cloud Senior Project Manager – ERP/SCM Background

Job Summary

Argano is seeking a Project Manager to lead Oracle Cloud implementations for our clients. Depending on client needs, you may manage several smaller engagements at the same time, such as single-module deployments, phased rollouts, or optimization projects. You may also serve as the dedicated project manager on one larger, multi-pillar implementation spanning ERP/SCM, HCM, EPM, and/or CX. We're looking for someone who is comfortable in both roles and can shift between them as client needs change.

Our ideal candidate has a strong track record delivering Oracle Cloud ERP and Supply Chain projects and a solid understanding of how Financials and Supply Chain connect with the rest of the Oracle Cloud suite. We also value experience leading HCM, EPM, or CX implementations, and we welcome candidates who can bring that range to multi-pillar programs.

You'll be accountable for planning, executing, and closing each engagement on time, within scope, and within budget, while serving as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders and Argano leadership.

Responsibilities

Project Leadership and Delivery

  • Lead Oracle Cloud implementation projects from initiation through go-live, hypercare, and closure, either managing multiple smaller engagements at once or serving as the dedicated project manager on a larger, multi-pillar program.
  • When managing multiple engagements, balance priorities, resources, and client commitments so each project stays on schedule and within budget.
  • When leading a multi-pillar program, coordinate parallel workstreams (for example Financials, Procurement, Supply Chain, HCM, EPM, and CX), managing sequencing, integration points, and shared milestones.
  • Define scope, goals, and deliverables based on the Statement of Work (SOW), and build project plans covering timelines, resource allocation, and key dependencies.
  • Plan and run key implementation activities, including design workshops, testing (SIT, UAT, and parallel financial close or reconciliation where applicable), data conversion, cutover planning, and go-live readiness.
  • Apply Oracle Cloud implementation methodology and scale it to the size and complexity of each engagement.

Team and Resource Management

  • Work with Center of Excellence (COE) Leads to staff each engagement and adjust staffing as projects move through their phases.
  • Lead and coordinate functional and technical consultants, workstream leads, integration and data teams, and client counterparts.
  • Assign tasks, manage resources, and encourage collaboration and clear communication across teams.
  • Direct the QA Lead to make sure deliverables meet Argano's quality standards and client expectations.

Governance, Risk, and Financial Management

  • Set up governance suited to each engagement, from lightweight status cadences on smaller projects to steering committees and workstream governance on larger programs.
  • Manage risks, actions, issues, and decisions (RAID), including cross-project and cross-pillar dependencies, and drive them to resolution.
  • Develop and carry out risk mitigation plans throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain a Project Budget Tracker/Burn Sheet for each engagement, and manage change requests against the SOW.
  • Follow appropriate internal and external escalation processes, keeping Argano leadership and client stakeholders informed.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client sponsors and project leadership.
  • Prepare and present status reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting milestones, issues, risks, and decisions needed.
  • Manage expectations across business functions such as Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain and Operations, HR, and Sales/Service, including their competing priorities.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • MBA or relevant master's degree preferred.
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project/program management certification preferred.
  • Oracle Cloud implementation certifications are a plus.

Experience

  • 8+ years of project management experience, including at least 5 years managing Oracle Cloud implementations.
  • Full lifecycle, hands-on project management of Oracle Cloud implementations, including managing multiple concurrent engagements and/or leading a larger, multi-pillar program.
  • Strong experience leading Oracle Cloud ERP and Supply Chain projects, with a solid understanding of modules such as General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Procurement, Project Portfolio Management, Inventory, Order Management, Manufacturing, Cost Management, and Supply Chain Planning, along with the challenges clients and implementation teams commonly face.
  • Experience managing Oracle Cloud HCM (Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent), EPM (Planning, Financial Consolidation and Close, Account Reconciliation), or CX (Sales, Service, Marketing) projects is highly valued.
  • Experience managing delivery across multiple workstreams or projects, including shared resources, integrations, data conversion, and competing timelines.
  • Background in software implementation consulting, ideally with a systems integrator or Oracle partner.
  • Proven experience with risk assessment and mitigation, quality reviews, and corrective actions.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Asana, or Trello.
  • Self-motivated, with a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and keeping up with Oracle Cloud releases and industry trends.

Skill Requirements

  • Project and Program Management: Strong command of project management methodologies and best practices, with the ability to scale them from small engagements to multi-workstream programs.
  • Prioritization and Adaptability: Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple engagements and adjust smoothly when assignments shift between a portfolio of projects and a single larger program.
  • Leadership: Strong ability to guide consultants, workstream leads, and cross-functional teams toward successful delivery.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, including presenting status, risks, and decisions clearly to executive audiences.
  • Stakeholder Management: Skill in managing expectations and balancing competing priorities across business functions.
  • Integration Mindset: Ability to see how decisions in one area affect others, such as how chart of accounts design affects EPM reporting or how Supply Chain setup affects cost accounting in Financials.
  • Financial Management: Strong discipline in budget tracking, forecasting, and change control.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations while directing the QA Lead.
  • Problem-Solving and Conflict Resolution: Address project issues with practical solutions and resolve disputes within teams or with stakeholders.
  • Escalation Management: Manage internal communication with Argano leadership and follow appropriate escalation processes.
