Originally founded in 1991 as Harlem RBI, DREAM has grown to annually serve more than 2,500 youth across East Harlem and the South Bronx through a network of seven PreK-12, extended-day, extended-year DREAM Charter Schools and community sports-based youth development programs. DREAM will develop and scale AI-enabled teaching and learning models designed to expand opportunity for students across the Bronx. Over the next three years, we will partner with 15 schools in the Bronx to help them implement an AI literacy curriculum, use AI tools to accelerate learning, and pursue new school models that prioritize real-world learning and future-ready skills. We will recruit partner schools, provide training and embedded coaching to leaders and teachers, and help educators implement and adapt these practices, curriculum, and tools in their own classrooms. Through rigorous evaluation and continuous improvement, this new initiative aims to improve academic outcomes while creating more time for collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, and other future-ready skills.

About this Work

    The Partnerships and Onboarding Lead, Innovation Team will support the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and ongoing partnership operations for schools participating in DREAM’s AI-focused programmatic cohort model. The Partnerships and Onboarding Lead will create a strong partner experience by coordinating logistics, managing partnership requirements, supporting legal and compliance processes, and working with school data and technology teams.

    This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-oriented and highly organized professional with experience managing contracts and compliance requirements, building stakeholder investment, coordinating across teams, and providing responsive, high-quality customer service to partners.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the recruitment and selection of partner schools for DREAM’s programmatic cohort model;
  • Coordinate compliance with partnership requirements (including contracting, legal compliance, media releases, data privacy and security, data sharing, licensing, and intellectual property agreements);
  • Design and coordinate onboarding processes, timelines, communications, and logistics to ensure that new partners are prepared to participate successfully;
  • Create and maintain organized processes, systems, and documentation for all partnership-related operational needs;
  • Work with partner school teams to support the integration of DREAM’s AI and future-ready skills work into existing school systems;
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with school and school-system stakeholders throughout recruitment and onboarding;
  • Provide responsive, solutions-oriented customer service to partners, serving as a reliable point of contact and supporting smooth partnership operations and logistics;
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team, Advancement Team, school and network leaders, and partner teams on partner-facing communications, program promotion, and related activities;
  • Support cohort convenings, site visits, and other partnership experiences.
  • Other responsibilities related to the role as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Education, Business, or a related field preferred;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in education, publishing, ed-tech, or nonprofits, required;
  • Proven experience supporting partnerships, onboarding, operations, or program implementation in education, ed-tech, nonprofits, or a related setting, highly preferred;
  • Experience working with contracts, legal compliance, releases, data privacy and security, data sharing, licensing, and/or intellectual property requirements, highly preferred;
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with school leaders and teams;
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills, with excellent attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;
  • Excellent customer-service orientation;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to navigate complexity, build trust, solve problems, and escalate issues appropriately;
  • Collaborative, resourceful, flexible, and solutions-oriented approach to working in a fast-paced environment;
  • A strong belief in the mission and values of DREAM, including the desire to make a difference in the lives of students, families, and the community.

Compensation

  • DREAM offers a competitive salary commensurate with relevant experience with the potential for an annual performance-based increase. The incoming salary range for this position is $125,000 to $160,000 per year. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary closer to the start of the range depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role. All staff are eligible for annual performance-based increases. Because we value staff tenure in each role, we do not currently cap salary ranges.
