Axle is the AI-native clearinghouse for property and casualty insurance. Our infrastructure and AI agents automate complex insurance workflows for third parties - verification, monitoring, and policy updates.

We're looking for a Partnerships Growth Lead to own and grow our most strategic enterprise partnerships. This is a newly created, senior role: to date this work has been owned directly by our founding team, and we're now bringing it under a dedicated leader. It is high-visibility and high-impact - you'll take direct ownership of relationships that today sit with the founders. You'll manage a small number of large, complex automotive platform, data, and financial-institution partners, acting as their primary relationship owner at Axle and the person accountable for adoption, expansion, and long-term revenue growth within each account.

Most accounts you'll be assigned are existing Axle relationships with signed agreements already in place - the mandate is to drive adoption, open net-new use cases within them, and expand revenue and usage.

Day to day you'll operate with senior decision-makers and operators at our partners, and cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Implementation, and Sales internally.

Why you should consider joining
  • Trusted by leading Fortune 500 banks and top brands like Hertz, Avis, and Audi, with more joining every month

  • Grown revenue 5x this year to multiple $millions ARR, with growth continuing to accelerate

  • Backed by world-class investors including Google (Gradient Ventures), Y Combinator, and leaders from Plaid and Cox Automotive

  • Join a tight-knit team where everyone drives real impact we have top-tier customer and revenue metrics with half the team size of typical startups

  • Work on challenging, unsolved problems at the intersection of complex data structuring, agentic workflows, and financial risk analysis

  • We care deeply about our team and provide great compensation and equity, full benefits, unlimited time-off, and plan an annual team offsite!

We're a lean team, and our customer base is growing too fast for us to keep up. We're looking for talented engineers to join our early team ahead of our next round and execute on an ambitious roadmap.

What will you be doing?
  • Own relationships with a focused set of strategic enterprise partners (e.g., large data providers, platforms, and financial institutions, some of which are existing Axle partners

  • Map the org, build multi-threaded relationships across decision-makers and influencers, and become a deep expert in each partner's tech stack, workflows, and Axle integrations.

  • Grow existing partnerships by opening new use cases, expanding into new business units and sub-clients, and bringing in net-new revenue from accounts we already work with.

  • Set and own growth goals for your accounts (revenue growth, adoption / completion rate, expansion, retention) and stay accountable to them with structured forecasting.

  • Lead the partnership operating rhythm: recurring executive business reviews, joint roadmap planning, commercial negotiations, and internal technical escalations.

  • Be the voice of your partners inside Axle, turning what you hear in the field into clear, prioritized feedback for Product and Engineering, and aligning partner priorities with Axle's roadmap.

  • Act as a strategic advisor, providing consultative guidance on Axle, insurance data, and industry best practices as partners build and scale their programs.

What would set you up for success?
  • 6+ years in enterprise partnerships, strategic account management, or enterprise sales, with a clear track record of growing large, complex accounts - not just keeping them steady.

  • A history of carrying a quota or revenue goal (adoption, expansion, or account growth / net revenue retention) and consistently driving revenue against it. This is a role for someone who has owned a number and hit it.

  • Proven experience managing multi-stakeholder relationships and closing / expanding complex deals with enterprise buying committees. You can build trust with a VP of Product and a Chief Risk Officer in the same week.

  • Strong consultative style and executive presence - you figure out the partner's real problem before pitching, and you don't shy away from the harder conversations that move adoption or revenue.

  • Structured qualification and account-planning discipline (MEDDIC or similar) and the ability to forecast expansion predictably.

  • Real hunger and a growth mindset. The people who do well here go looking for the next opportunity inside an account instead of waiting for it to show up.

  • Ability to quickly grasp new technologies, APIs, and complex technical concepts, and to work closely with Product, Engineering, and Implementation to turn partner feedback into real outcomes.

  • Comfort in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment, and genuine interest in building process where none exists yet - including the autonomy to own these partnerships end to end as the first dedicated leader in the seat.

  • Willingness to travel to partner sites and industry conferences, roughly twice a month.

What would be even better?
  • Experience selling into or partnering with large data providers, credit bureaus, fintech platforms, or automotive / dealer software platforms (e.g., Experian, Equifax, Tekion, Cox Auto, CDK-type organizations).

  • Background in insurance, lending, mortgage, automotive, or financial services infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with insurance verification, F&I, or loaner / variable operations workflows.

  • Experience co-selling or partnering with system integrators and channel / platform partners.

What you can expect
  • $240k - $280k OTE

  • 0.05 - 0.15% with 4 year vesting cycle, 1 year cliff

  • Comprehensive benefits: Competitive comp + equity, medical/dental/vision, 401k, unlimited vacation, flexible hybrid work, annual offsite and bring pets to work.
