Bellota Labs builds ClubWPT Gold for the World Poker Tour with 150 employees and contractors across two entities. Reporting to the Head of People Operations, you run the operational core and keep its automation layer working.
This is a broad role for someone who enjoys being close to the business and wants exposure to nearly every part of People Operations. You’ll help own the employee lifecycle, support employees and managers, maintain our People systems and processes, and help us continue building a high-performance culture as the company scales.
The right person is highly organized, resourceful, comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment, and willing to jump between strategic projects and the small details that keep an organization running smoothly.
What you'll own:
- Own and continuously improve onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Manage employee changes, documentation, personnel records, and other day-to-day People operations.
- Serve as a go-to resource for employees on benefits, policies, leave, payroll-related questions, and general People matters.
- Maintain accurate employee data across our HR systems and ensure People processes run smoothly.
- Partner with Finance, Recruiting, Legal, and department leaders on employee-related needs.
- Help create an excellent employee experience from a person’s first day through their entire journey at Bellota.
- Support company-wide People initiatives, employee communications, events, and engagement programs.
- Identify friction in the employee experience and proactively improve it.
- Help maintain a culture of high performance, accountability, transparency, and recognition.
- Partner with the Head of People on performance review cycles, employee feedback, promotions, and compensation processes.
- Help managers navigate day-to-day People questions and employee situations.
- Track and organize People data to identify trends and areas where teams may need additional support.
- Support employee relations matters and documentation as needed.
- Support benefits administration, leaves of absence, workers’ compensation, and other HR programs.
- Help ensure Bellota remains compliant with applicable federal and state employment requirements.
- Maintain People policies, employee documentation, and internal resources.
- Coordinate with outside vendors, benefits providers, and employment counsel when necessary.
- Help us build scalable People processes, not just maintain what’s already there.
- Look for opportunities to automate manual HR workflows and make our systems more efficient.
- Create documentation and repeatable processes as Bellota continues to grow.
- Own People projects from idea through execution.
