People Operations Generalist

We’re excited to welcome a People Operations Generalist to our People team! Reporting directly to the Director of People, this role will make a big impact on the employee experience at Blockstream. You’ll partner with leaders and teammates across the globe to deliver top-notch HR services, build engagement, and ensure we continue to grow in a compliant and people-first way.

• Be a trusted go-to resource for employees, answering questions on policies, benefits, and processes.
• Lead onboarding and create a welcoming, seamless start for every new team member.
• Partner with managers to support and resolve employee concerns with care and consistency.
• Bring people together by organizing engagement programs, wellness initiatives, and team-building activities.

• Maintain accurate and confidential HRIS records.
• Manage benefits programs and coordinate with vendors.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws across multiple regions.
• Support the development of handbooks, policies, and procedures that guide our people practices.

• Support recruiting efforts through job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
• Assist with performance reviews, goal setting, and career development initiatives.
• Help identify training needs and coordinate meaningful learning opportunities.

• 3+ years in People Operations, HR Generalist, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• The ability to build trust, credibility, and strong relationships across the company.
• Comfort working with a globally distributed team across time zones.
• Based on the East Coast or willing to work Eastern business hours.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Google Workspace (Ashby experience is a plus).

• Experience in tech, fintech, or blockchain/cryptocurrency.
• Multi-country HR experience (North America, Europe, or APAC).

The annual base salary for this role ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 USD, depending on location and experience. In addition to base pay, full-time employees are eligible for performance bonuses, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.
