Title: People Operations Specialist

Department: People

Reports To: Manager, People Operations

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)


Position Summary

As a People Operations Specialist, you will play an integral part in delivering operational excellence and providing support to our People Team. The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for day to day operations and total rewards inquiries from employees via an internal ticketing system, Slack, email, etc.. You will be viewed as the subject matter expert on HR processes including global processes, HR Policies, HR systems, and HR analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with external operations vendors; review and maintain updates on Prove’s vendor site portals; establish and maintain strong relationships with external operations vendors.
  • Lead employee communications related to employee lifecycle management and operations through email, presentations, and company intranet.
  • Respond to incoming inquiries through the internal JIRA ticketing system; prioritize escalations as needed and bring to resolution in a timely manner.
  • Act as the subject matter expert and administrator for systems and data owned by the People team. 
  • Leverage data to provide insight and guidance from people analytics to inform future decision making and process improvement. 
  • Act in a consultative and project management role to support definition, improvement, and implementation of processes, policies, and compliance.
  • Administer US and International employee benefits programs in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Provide support on various HR related items, including but not limited to:
    • Annual compliance training
    • Audit and compliance requirements in partnership with other departments
  • Act as main point of contact for EOR and international people operations
  • Orchestration of onboarding and offboarding procedures owned by the People Operations team.
  • Partner closely with Finance on multiple cross-functional processes including audits and reconciliations.
  • Execution of end to end employee lifecycle operations.
  • Coordinate special projects, ad-hoc responsibilities, and events in alignment with organizational priorities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • HR certification preferred (PHR or similar)
  • Strong passion for data excellence and the drive to maintain data integrity
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Strong customer service, problem solving, collaborative, and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of HR programs relative to support of business objectives.
  • Rippling experience is preferred.
  • JIRA experience is preferred.
  • Experience and/or exposure to system integrations, improvements, and implementations.
  • Experience working in fast paced, changing environments with multiple priorities
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment of change and manage multiple priorities concurrently through strong project management, systems knowledge, and effective communication.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to independently compose routine written communications; proficiency in English (read, write, and speak) required.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $98,000 - 110,000 plus variable commission / company bonus. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, geo-location and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
