PL/SQL Developer

ORACLE PL/SQL DEVELOPER WITH JAVA KNOWLEDGE

Requirement: 

The candidate is expected to have high degree of proficiency coding with Oracle PL/SQL scripts. Knowledge of Java is plus. 

The ideal candidate is someone who is highly motivated and self-driven, with strong technical and analytical skills to quickly learn the inner working of the PBM & Rebate application that is coded using PL/SQL. The candidate is expected to evolve as a Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the PBM & Rebate application and must be a willing to cross train other team members who will join the team and also serve as the technical lead for the PBM & Rebate application.  Working knowledge of Java is a strong plus - to support the Java version of the PBM & Rebate application

The candidate is also expected to be hands on – including analysis, design, programming, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of the PBM & Rebate application for existing customers and future customers.  

At least seven (10+) years of work experience is required.

• Have ability to diagnose problems and suggest resolution with minimal guidance. 
• Be ready to take responsibility for assigned tasks and work with others as needed to complete tasks. 
• Successfully function within a project team and be a team player in an environment of deadlines and project milestones.
• Must have a positive “can and will do” attitude.

Major Responsibilities:

• Analysis, design, programming, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of PBM & Rebate application that is coded in PL/SQL and Java.    (For candidates with Java experience – the scope of work will also include supporting the Java version of PBM & Rebate application)
• Support new business opportunities – including reading through RFP, meeting with business team members or clients, assist with proposal work, and complete design documentation and estimates to meet any new business requirements.
• Resolve any issues that present themselves in a timely manner to mitigate SLA delays.
• Investigate, resolve and document assigned issues and propose / implement solutions.
• Assist in discussions with clients and/or in the explanations of the issues, and recommended solutions.
• Assist in preparation of functional specifications for application systems, presentation of system 
• Develop status reports of development activities weekly

Education and Work Experience:
College degree with at least 7 years of work experience in software development.

In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. The estimated salary range for this role is $96,250 - $125,000.
