About this role:
Wells Fargo's Supply Chain Finance Group ("SCF") supports companies with a broad range of supply chain solutions, including trade and receivables products, which provide a holistic approach to an enterprise's working capital risk mitigation and financing needs. SCF is seeking a dynamic and results oriented Portfolio Manager/ Underwriter (Lead Secured Lending Underwriter) to join the Portfolio Management team to support SCF's growing business. The Job will encompass a variety of unsecured and secured lending financing products including Key Accounts Purchase Programs (KAP), Supplier Finance Programs (SF), factoring, and ABL facilities, and will partner with Relationship Managers and Independent Risk Management to oversee the execution of credit related functions and portfolio support for SCF products.
In this role, you will:
  • Manage and oversee credit aspects for a broad portfolio of SCF clients:
    • Perform detailed credit / financial statement analysis, industry analysis, and projection modeling to ensure accurate risk assessments;
    • Present all information in concise and clear format for credit approval. Actively engage with credit approvers and other key stakeholders during the credit approval process;
    • In conjunction with legal counsel, lead the structuring and negotiation of legal documentation for any amendments related to existing SCF clients;
    • Timely monitor performance trends for the portfolio. Prepare and present updates on the portfolio trends to senior leadership and Independent Risk Management;
    • Validate proper risk ratings, oversee compliance and third-party diligence activities including collateral examinations, appraisals, and other business/contract diligence; and
    • Responsible for adherence to all Wells Fargo credit policies and procedures. Review and interpret credit policies and procedures and incorporate requirements into credit analysis, risk assessments, and risk and rating recommendations.
  • Lead and contribute to due diligence meetings with client contacts in support of any delivery of amendments / changes and/or expanding existing business with clients.
  • Collaborate closely with Corporate & Investment Banking and Commercial Banking bankers to support all client credit needs related to SCF products.
  • Collaborate closely with SCF Originations and Underwriting teams to ensure steady information flow and smooth transitions.
  • Lead secured lending underwriting projects and teams. Serve as a mentor to junior teammates.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Secured Lending Underwriting experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills, with heightened attention to detail and accuracy, recognizing importance of data integrity and adherence to credit policies and procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and clients, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
  • Working knowledge of various unsecured and secured lending programs and structures.
  • Experience with negotiating legal documentation.
  • History of exercising sound judgment and making timely decisions in a fast-paced and results-driven environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills
Job Expectation-
  • Up to 20% travel
  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$139,000.00 - $260,000.00
