The Public Relations (PR) & Communications Manager for Newmark’s Eastern Region supports the execution and amplification of strategic communications initiatives across the firm’s top-performing markets. Directly supporting the region’s PR & Communications Director, this role translates regional communications strategy into clear, consistent and high-impact execution that elevates Newmark’s brand, executive visibility and stakeholder engagement.
The Manager works closely with senior brokerage professionals, research leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure Newmark’s narratives are aligned across earned media, owned content, social channels and industry recognition efforts.
ResponsibilitiesPR & Media Relations
- Support the development and execution of regional PR strategies aligned with Newmark’s corporate communications framework and brand standards
- Develop clear, compelling written content for external communications including pitches, bylines, newsletters and executive positioning materials, quarterly research reports
- Coordinate media outreach, interview preparation, follow-ups and coverage tracking
- Secure timely, high-quality earned media across print, digital and broadcast channels
- Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant regional and national business and trade media.
- Manage regional PR infrastructure, including SharePoint databases, media lists and quarterly reporting
Awards & Events
Support relevant industry award nominations, including drafting, coordination and tracking across regional programs.
Identify and support thought leadership opportunities including speaking engagements, panels and sponsorships.
Maintain annual calendars for regional press activity, awards, speaking opportunities and key industry events
Social & Digital Media
- Partner with regional marketing, digital and corporate teams to develop and amplify regional social content.
- Ensure messaging consistency, strategic timing and alignment with broader communications objectives
- Support executive an brokerage social positioning in coordination with regional and corporate
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, business or a related field, strongly preferred
- 3-4 years’ experience in-house or agency PR/comm, media, or a related field, strongly preferred
- Real Estate experience and/or knowledge of the industry and media landscape, strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to support communications strategy development and lead execution; Secure earned media and managing press processes end-to-end.
- Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills with exceptional attention to detail; Highly organized, deadline-driven and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, social media and PR monitoring tools, media databases, reporting and analytics

Salary Range Language
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
