This role is perfect for a professional with a passion for storytelling, an interest in cybersecurity, and a knack for building relationships with media and influencers to elevate F5’s brand and thought leadership efforts.

As a PR Manager, you will play a key role in developing and executing compelling stories that build customer trust, support F5's go-to-market initiatives and position the organization as a leader in application delivery and security. This hands-on role requires a collaborative mindset as you'll partner with teams across the company to translate technical achievements into relevant and engaging narratives. Additionally, you'll build and maintain strong relationships with global and cybersecurity-focused media outlets.

You will support PR strategies for global initiatives, ensuring alignment across regions like EMEA, APCJ, and LATAM while tailoring messaging to target audiences. If you're looking for a collaborative role that blends creativity, strategy, and storytelling, we want to hear from you.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Cultivate strong relationships with journalists and influencers, with a focus on business, technology, AI, and cybersecurity media outlets.

  • Build and manage relationships with media and influencers by pitching ideas and securing placement in top-tier and trade publications, with an emphasis on AI and cybersecurity storytelling.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts from multiple teams (product management, marketing, sales, threat research, etc.) to identify storytelling opportunities related to F5’s AI and cybersecurity vision and solutions.

  • Generate press materials—including press releases, blogs, media pitches, and messaging documents—that resonate with audiences and align with F5’s key messaging.

  • Support product launches, partnership announcements, and corporate initiatives by building PR campaigns aimed at securing earned media coverage.

  • Play a key role in F5’s cybersecurity storytelling efforts, ensuring consistency across media and owned platforms.

  • Support thought leadership efforts by coordinating with executives and internal teams to create compelling content with strong narratives.

  • Assist with media interviews and press tours; support media training and briefing materials to F5 executives and spokespeople.

  • Partner with the social media team to amplify PR campaigns and earned media wins.

  • Support industry award submissions and speaking engagements to raise the profile of F5 leaders and experts.

  • Measure PR performance and report campaign outcomes to key stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Passion for storytelling with excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Some familiarity and enthusiasm for enterprise AI and the cybersecurity space is preferred; ability to quickly learn industry trends and topics is required.

  • Strong ability to convey technical and complex ideas in ways that are accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Confidence and skill in building relationships with journalists, analysts, and influencers across a variety of media channels, including those focused on cybersecurity and enterprise technology.

  • Creative mindset balanced with the ability to strategically develop PR plans that align with business goals.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.

  • A collaborative team player with a global perspective and sensitivity to diverse cultures and business practices.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and deadlines while maintaining a positive and professional approach.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their role in driving amplification of PR efforts.

  • Baseline analytics skills to measure PR outcomes and refine strategies as needed.

  • Experience with managing PR initiatives or campaigns at a regional or global level is a strong plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 4–5 years of PR or communications experience; preferably with a background in enterprise technology, AI, or cybersecurity.

  • Demonstrated ability to execute earned media campaigns and secure coverage across a variety of media outlets.

  • Previous experience writing press materials, blogs, or other communications content.

  • Understanding of (or interest in learning about) cybersecurity topics, trends, and audiences.
