Qualifications

Role & Responsibilities: As an integral member of the founding team, the Membership Consultant will focus on selling Founding Memberships during the pre-sales period and then continuing to build the club's high-quality membership base once the club opens through a strong sales effort.

The Membership Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Adoption of relationship-based sales philosophy focused on information discovery
  • Prospecting, lead generation, and building of referral business
  • Sale of new memberships including Founding Memberships and Corporate Memberships
  • Achieving or surpassing individual sales goals
  • Knowledge of all member opportunities within the club and selling ancillary services; connecting new members to areas of interest to set them up for success and long-term membership
  • Working cohesively with a team of Membership Consultants, your Membership Sales Manager and VP of Membership Sales to be successful individually and as a team
  • Establishing a strong sales pipeline, meeting sales objectives and collaborating with a team to achieve the overall goals of the business
  • Managing select events geared towards engaging the membership base and/or generating interest in and excitement around the club
  • Serving as a visible and active goodwill ambassador with members and at select special events
  • Delivering superior customer service with an aim towards member retention

Qualifications

  • Analysis and understanding of key business metrics that directly impact membership growth
  • Self-motivated/entrepreneurial spirit with an outgoing, diligent, and affable disposition
  • Superior customer service skills; excellent and clear communication skills, both verbal and written; strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Passion for fitness with a team-first mentality
  • Ability to work on nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Expected annual compensation: $75,000–$100,000 base + commission per year
