Job Description

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: 

Gather and analyse data to develop competitive pricing structures for new and existing customers in order to drive growth opportunities and increase profits. Ensure rate revisions received within the network are updated timely, distributed to the proper operational contacts, and well understood to guarantee billing accuracy. To utilize the deep knowledge of rates/market conditions to pursue new business growth via Sales calls and strategic conversations with Sales and Account Management. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Pricing Analyst Job-Specific Tasks and Duties  

 

  • Provide pricing or update within 24 hours of request through Usage of the CHQ Quoting Workflow 

  • Deliver regular and ad hoc pricing analysis and reporting 

  • Assist in presenting quotes/pricing to customers, Sales, and Account Management 

  • Provide Monthly Pricing for Key Accounts 

  • Receive and update any rate revisions via Rate Repository, card file and/or rate schedule.  

  • Monitor SP contract rates and alter local pricing in conjunction with market conditions 

  • Validate quotations for accuracy and profitability 

  • Take initiative in identifying and resolving challenges or issues around pricing and margin 

  • Ensure rates and invoicing requirements are accurate and well-documented during the transition of new business  

  • Utilize existing analytical tools to drive improvement in invoice quality and reduction of open provisions (Usage of Expo Accounting to identify Rate Schedule IO) 

  • Ensure CFIT contains correct Spot Quote# or Lane ID* 

  • Develop a Green Team Truck Lane 

  • Be the # 2 in the department when it pertains to Business Development 

  • Attend and Contribute to our Weekly Business Development Calls attended by Product Mangers, Account Managers, Sales Team, and Branch Management

Qualifications

  • Education to degree level or business experience equivalent
