Life360 is a Remote-First company, which means a remote work environment will be the primary experience for all employees. All positions, unless otherwise specified, can be performed remotely (within the US) regardless of any specified location above.

About The Team

This is a company-wide charter role sitting inside the Horizons organization, reporting to VP, Product. AI-native transformation isn't a side initiative at Life360. It's a strategic imperative. We're not just adopting new tools, but rethinking how product development works at its core. In practice, you’ll partner with PMs, engineers, designers, and TPMs across Life360 to transform how we build, test, and ship — embedding AI-native ways of working into the Product Development Lifecycle from the ground up.

About the Job

As Principal Product Manager for Developer Innovation, you will own the end-to-end product development lifecycle and bring the same rigor, creativity, and obsession to it that any great PM brings to a customer-facing product. Your remit spans the whole company – how teams define requirements, how engineers build and test, how we instrument and release, and how we measure whether any of it is moving the business.
The US-based salary range for this position is $178,500 to $261,500. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the PDLC as a product. Define and drive the strategy for redesigning Life360's development experience for an AI-native world — not optimizing the existing steps, but rethinking how requirements, design, build, test, deploy, and measure work when human-AI collaboration is the default. Partner directly with the CTO and CISO to make that vision real.
  • Design how humans and AI work together. Define the collaboration patterns, handoffs, and guardrails that determine how AI should augment human decision making and boost speed and quality of output.
  • Co-own the dev environment. Work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering, design, product, data, and other leaders to shape a toolchain built around AI-augmented workflows from the ground up, not legacy tooling with AI bolted on.
  • Lead the AI-Native shift. Drive employee adoption of AI-native practices across the company. Work with the people team on cultural change, not just a rollout plan.
  • Rethink measurements. Traditional metrics miss the real value of AI augmentation. Develop frameworks that measure decision leverage, quality-adjusted velocity, and human cognitive load and use them to prove what's working and sunset what isn't.
  • Make work human. Don’t just ease the transition. Actively design an AI-native culture where people feel more capable and empowered, not replaced.
  • Stay on the frontier. Make smart bets on where the AI-native PDLC is heading 12-18 months out and position Life360 to be there first.
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years in product management or organizational change, with at least 5 years at senior, staff, or principal level driving cross-org transformation or corporate culture change – you speak with expertise and influence
  • Deeply opinionated about AI and LLMs. You understand their capabilities and limitations with technical depth, and have strong opinions on where the industry is heading, how culture and the workforce are shifting, and what the emerging regulatory landscape means for investing in AI inside a consumer product company.
  • Familiarity with developer tools and practices, internal platforms, and productivity software with deep hands-on familiarity with AI-tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar) and a genuine enthusiasm for AI-native workflows
  • Data informed approach to designing, building, and iterating around human collaboration, knowledge management, and productivity problems
  • Strong data orientation: you know how to instrument things you care about, build dashboards, run pilots, and let results drive decisions
  • Exceptional cross-functional influencer — you can mobilize teams you don’t manage, build conviction across skeptics, and sustain momentum on long-horizon initiatives
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a zero-to-one mindset: you know how to make progress when the map doesn’t exist yet
  • Prior experience at a high-growth consumer tech company preferred; familiarity with mobile app development cycles a plus
Our Benefits
  • Competitive pay and benefits
  • Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans (100% paid for employees)
  • 401(k) plan with company matching program
  • Mental Wellness Program & Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental well-being
  • Flexible PTO, 13 company-wide days off throughout the year
  • Winter and Summer Weeklong Synchronized Company Shutdowns
  • Learning & Development programs
  • Equipment, tools, and reimbursement support for a productive remote environment
  • Free Life360 Platinum Membership for your preferred circle
  • Free Tile Products
