Position Summary:
Are you a tax professional who enjoys the challenge of sophisticated tax returns, excels under the pressure of tax season, and takes pride in delivering exceptional results? Do you recognize the tremendous value expert tax advice and service brings to high-net-worth clients? If yes, you would be an outstanding addition to our tax team in New York City.
Primary Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of individual income tax returns including multi-state filings
- Preparation and review of gift, trust, partnership, corporation, and private foundation tax returns
- Preparation of quarterly income tax projections, estimated taxes and extensions
- Assist in various services to HNW individuals, including mortgage applications, insurance matters, RMD analysis and cash flow projections
- Respond to tax notices and assist with tax audits
- Conduct tax research
- Prepare detailed, comprehensible workpapers
- Foreign tax filings
- Special projects, including forensic analysis in matrimonial actions
- Interaction with members of a client’s wealth management team
- Developing and maintaining superior client relationships
Required Qualifications:
- CPA designation with a minimum of 7 years of income tax preparation and review experience for high-net-worth individuals
- Proficient with CCH Axcess Tax, Income Tax Planner, online tax research software, and Microsoft Office
- Advanced analytical and tax technical skills with experience in planning complex and sophisticated strategies
- Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage workflow, multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative team player committed to delivering superior service and taking complete ownership of responsibilities for even the smallest task
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment

Compensation Range:
$200,000 - $220,000
