About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned, business-minded Technical Architect to join our PACE Solution Engineering organization at the convergence of Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud (Data360), and Agentforce. This role blends deep technical product expertise with solution selling, serving as a trusted advisor and expert architect across complex, high-value customer engagements.
This is not just a technical role — it's a business ownership role. The ideal candidate operates as a seasoned pre-sales professional who commands the room with customers, translates sophisticated marketing and data challenges into compelling solution architectures, and drives technical wins that create real pipeline and revenue impact.
In this role, you will sit at the intersection of modern data management, AI, and marketing technology — helping customers understand how a unified data foundation enables both intelligent automation and agentic marketing experiences. You will partner with Account Executives, Solution Engineers, Product Specialists, and cross-functional stakeholders in a team-of-teams model, acting as a force multiplier across the entire PACE OU.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead customer-facing technical engagements including discovery, solution architecture, technical strategy, custom demo builds & executive presentations
  • Own the technical win across complex, multi-product deals spanning Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and Agentforce
  • Architect enterprise-grade solutions at the convergence of marketing technology, modern data management, and AI — demonstrating clear, measurable business value
  • Design and articulate how Data Cloud (Data360) serves as the data foundation enabling AI-driven marketing automation and agentic use cases
  • Apply deep expertise in Agentforce for marketing, including both native agentic features & custom build-your-own marketing agents, as well as optimization workflows
  • Partner in a team-of-teams model, serving as a force multiplier for the broader PACE OU through enablement, reusable assets, and technical leadership
  • Contribute to team scale through repeatable solution patterns, demo assets, and best practices (40% of role)
  • Independently manage your book of business — owning priorities, pipeline, and engagement quality with a seasoned operator mindset
Required Qualifications
  • 5–7 years of experience in solution architecture, pre-sales, or enterprise solution delivery with a track record of leading complex customer engagements
  • Deep hands-on expertise across the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem, including Marketing Cloud Engagement
  • Strong working knowledge of Data Cloud (Data360), including data ingestion, identity resolution, segmentation, and activation for marketing use cases
  • Familiarity with Agentforce and AI-driven use cases in the context of marketing, sales, or customer experience
  • Ability to articulate how modern data management enables AI and agentic applications — connecting the data layer to business outcomes
  • Strong solution selling instincts — comfortable leading discovery, shaping strategy, and influencing technical decisions at the executive level
  • Excellent communication skills across technical, marketing, and executive audiences
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building or architecting agentic marketing applications using Agentforce, including custom agent development and campaign optimization use cases
  • Hands-on experience with Data Cloud for marketing activation, personalization, or journey orchestration
  • Background & xperience in enterprise marketing technology (CDP, MAP, CRM) and understanding of the modern marketing data stack including MDMs and Data Lakes
  • Experience contributing to team-scale efforts — enablement, reusable demos, solution plays, or technical workshops
  • Salesforce certifications in Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, or Agentforce (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • Comfort operating in a team-of-teams environment and acting as a subject matter expert for peer SEs and AEs
What Success Looks Like in This Role
  • Own your business — managing a pipeline of technical engagements with the maturity and judgment of a seasoned operator
  • Earn trust quickly as the go-to technical authority on Marketing, Data Cloud, and Agentforce for your account teams
  • Architect and present complex, multi-product solutions that resonate with both technical evaluators and executive sponsors
  • Drive technical wins in competitive, high-stakes deals through superior solutioning, storytelling, and credibility
  • Contribute reusable assets, patterns, and enablement that make the entire PACE OU more effective
  • Help customers see the path from modern data management to AI-powered and agentic marketing outcomes
What We Offer
  • High-impact pre-sales work at the frontier of AI, data, and marketing technology
  • A collaborative, high-performing team environment with a strong team-of-teams culture
  • Deep exposure to Salesforce's most strategic product areas — Agentforce, Data Cloud, and Marketing Cloud Next— at enterprise scale
  • Opportunities to shape the future of marketing transformation through innovation, enablement, and customer impact
  • Mentorship, technical leadership growth, and visibility across the PACE organization
