Overview:
Hughes Hubbard is looking for an associate with 4+ years of experience to join our Private Client Services practice. Candidates must have experience primarily in tax law, wealth management, and trusts and estates.

Skills & Responsibilities:
•    Counsel high-net-worth individuals and family entities on estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer and income tax matters.
•    Draft prenuptial and postnuptial agreements; have experience in estate administration and all aspects of tax controversy, including dealing with IRS examinations and appeals.
•    Perform legal research and analysis; able to use library reference materials and/or electronic resource tools. 
•    Communicate and correspond with colleagues, clients, other counsel; establish and maintain effective working relations with others.
•    Communicate effectively in English orally and in writing; able to organize and prioritize workload; able to understand and follow written and oral directions.

Education:
• JD degree
• Bachelor's degree
• Must be admitted to practice law in the State of New York.

Experience:
•    The ideal candidate has trusts and estates experience at a large NYC firm with a Private Client Services practice comparable to Hughes Hubbard’s.
•    Preference for candidates with stellar law firm employment history (limited changes since law school graduation).

Salary Range
$310,000$420,000 USD
