Key Responsibilities
- Advise high-net-worth individuals and families on estate and tax planning strategies, including gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax matters
- Structure and implement sophisticated estate plans (wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, family limited partnerships, LLCs, etc.)
- Counsel clients on wealth preservation, business succession planning, and philanthropic planning
- Assist with estate and trust administration, including post-mortem tax planning
- Work on cross-border and multi-jurisdictional planning matters where applicable
- Collaborate with colleagues across corporate, tax, and real estate practices to deliver integrated solutions
- Participate in client development and maintain strong client relationships
Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in trusts and estates / private wealth services at an Am Law firm or leading boutique
- Strong background in estate planning and wealth transfer strategies for high-net-worth individuals
- Experience drafting complex estate planning documents independently
- Exposure to estate and trust administration is preferred
- Excellent academic credentials and strong writing/analytical skills
- Admission to the New York Bar (or ability to waive in)

The expected pay range for this position is:
Salary Range: $310,000 - $420,000
Salary will be determined based upon education, experience, job related factors permitted by law, internal equity, and market data, including geographic pay differentials in locations where market pay differs from the national average. Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program. Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary critical illness and cancer insurance and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs may also be available in certain markets.
