The Role:

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Apply General Motors Manufacturing System (GMS) principles to identify and eliminate waste, standardize processes, and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Conduct in-depth Process Engineering analyses, including process flow PFMEA, cycle time studies, and bottleneck identification.
- Manage existing processes, and develop opportunities to improve uptimes, cycle times, adn throughput, including implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance to resolve manufacturing issues and drive continuous improvement in a unionized environment.
- Prepare detailed analysis, related to manufacturing processes and projects.
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- 2 years of engineering experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience planning and executing automation
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Expertise in Process Engineering techniques, including process optimization and troubleshooting
- Experience leading and facilitating Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to work overtime and off shift as needed
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- 2+ years of experience as a Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or Mechanical Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Experience working in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Experience executing cobots
- Understanding of engine component manufacturing
- GMS experience
