ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring a Procurement Manager on our finance team. As our expert in procurement, you will help Current design and implement a robust procurement process. This manager collaborates across teams, acts as a trusted partner to business owners, and cultivates a culture of accountability and governance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively collaborate with internal business partners and stakeholders to facilitate contract negotiations with external vendors and suppliers; develop negotiation approaches, fallback positions and acceptable terms and conditions through contract completion and identify key benchmarks to measure contractual arrangements with focus on financial cost efficiencies, understanding of key drivers of spend and areas of risks.
- Design and implement a procurement process & tools with appropriate cross functional stakeholder review.
- Review existing contracts and understand business requirements; formulate guidelines and design and implement standard vendor contract protocols.
- Establish vendor life-cycle strategy to oversee planning, sourcing and selection of new vendors, manage data for vendor performance and manage vendor off-boarding and transition.
- Assist business partners in onboarding new vendors, products or services through the cross functional third-party on-boarding flow (e.g., Finance approval, IT approval, legal Approval, etc.).
- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with key internal stakeholders aimed at identifying, understanding and fulfilling their requirements.
ABOUT YOU
- Proactively work to resolve performance or diligence issues with vendors to ensure effective and timely resolution.
- Support other ad hoc projects as needed.
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or vendor management preferably in a high growth technology environment.
- Strong communication and project management skills to demonstrate project status, key actions, risks and opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or related field.
- Strong understanding of procurement and negotiation techniques.
This role has a base salary range of $145,000 - $180,000. Compensation is determined based on experience, skill level, and qualifications, which are assessed during the interview process.
