Producer, Syndication and Wires:

Fortune is seeking an ambitious and smart producer with a love for news and a passion for business journalism to help our global newsroom identify trending news and publish push notifications in real-time. 

This Producer, Syndication and Wires will report to our senior editor of distribution and will work closely with colleagues on the audience and global news teams.  

The ideal candidate will be comfortable crafting attention-grabbing headlines, generating buzzworthy push notifications, monitoring breaking news and events, and optimizing content for distribution across syndication channels.

You will:

• Monitor breaking news, market movements, and social media to flag trending stories to news editors and reporters. 
• Generate accurate headlines and framing news content from wire services for placement on Fortune.com. 
• Pitch Fortune content to syndication partners and increase engagement with eye-catching image galleries.
• Optimize content for success across platforms with focus on keywords and SEO best practices. 

You have…

• A background in business journalism, excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience packaging news content from wire services for placement on websites and/or social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Threads, YouTube and Bluesky. 
• A passion for framing news stories and knack for SEO optimization.
• At least 3 years of full-time newsroom experience, preferably in a similar role.
• A digital-first mindset and voracious reading habits.
• The ability to work quickly and collaboratively as part of a tight-knit, fast-paced team.

Location: Fortune’s U.S. headquarters is in New York City. This role is based in the U.S., and candidates should have authorization to work in the U.S. Candidates based in the NYC area or near one of our other offices will be required to work in the office 5 days per week.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000. This range is a good faith estimate and may ultimately vary based on a number of relevant factors.
