JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a creative, driven Producer to join Jesse Watters Primetime. As a Producer, you will pitch and produce original content, write scripts, select and build elements, and execute in the control room. You are well versed in politics, culture, and current events, a clever writer, and an excellent researcher who thrives on finding fresh angles to stories. You are a leader who is eager to help guide the production of every segment—and confident enough in your own ideas to present them in front of a group that includes high-profile talent.

You will be offered the following shift: Mondays through Fridays, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Pitch and produce strong original content including unique guests, stories, shoots, and segments

  • Conduct in-depth research

  • Write stories, guest intros, teases, banners, and questions

  • Select and build elements such as sound, video clips, and graphics to help tell a story

  • Support Associate Producers through insight, feedback, and guidance

  • Additional responsibilities based on your unique talents/abilities

  • Take on additional responsibilities based on your unique talents and abilities

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

  • 2-4 years of prior television or similar experience

  • Strong knowledge of news, politics, and current events

  • Familiarity with popular influencers, commentators, and opinion makers

  • Ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines

  • Comfort working independently and making informed editorial decisions

  • Experience in a live control room

  • Experience working with high-profile talent

  • Guest-booking experience

  • Experience managing or mentoring a small team

  • Strong understanding of history and its influence on current events

  • Willingness to listen, learn, and grow from constructive criticism

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $83,000.00-100,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
