Fabric is rebuilding how people access and navigate healthcare. We are looking for a Product Designer to shape the experience members rely on when it matters most – from their first interaction with Fabric through the care journeys they return to again and again. You will be the design partner for the member side of our product. You will work with product, engineering, and clinical teams to translate complex healthcare workflows into experiences that feel intuitive and easy-to-use.
This is a mid-level role with broad design ownership. You will take on significant scope as the design partner for key areas of the D2C journey. We are looking for someone with 3-6 years of product design experience who is eager to drive impact across the member experience and grow into a senior designer over time.
What You'll Do
As a Product Designer for our D2C experience, you will be the primary design contributor for how members interact with Fabric across key touchpoints. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Lead the design of key parts of the D2C member experience: marketing site, signup and onboarding, member portal, in-product flows.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and clinical SMEs to translate complex care workflows into intuitive user experiences.
- Conduct user research where it matters and bring evidence to design decisions.
- Build and maintain the components and patterns that scale across the member experience.
- Run design reviews. Give and receive feedback that makes the work stronger.
- Partner with brand and marketing on the consumer expression of Fabric across acquisition channels.
Why You Might Be a Good Fit
- You have 3-6 years of product design experience with shipped consumer-facing work.
- You have strong product thinking. You do not just make things look right, you make them work right.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity. You can move from problem to wireframe to prototype to ship.
- You are curious about healthcare and willing to learn the domain deeply.
- You have strong craft in Figma and a portfolio that shows your range across both flows and visual quality.
- You use AI tools as a natural part of your design process – whether that is Figma Make, Claude, or other tools that help you move faster and think more broadly.
- You can present work to engineers, PMs, and executives and adapt your communication to each audience.
This Might Not Be The Right Fit If...
- You are a pure visual designer or pure brand designer. This role requires product design depth.
- You need a tightly scoped brief. You will be defining problems, not just executing on them.
- You have 7+ years of experience. You will be miscast at this level and comp band.
- You are looking for a senior-only seat with no IC craft expectations.
Your Qualifications
- 3-6 years of product design experience with shipped consumer-facing work.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design: flows, components, interactions, and visual quality.
- Hands-on experience contributing to a design system, building and maintaining components, documenting patters, and thinking about scale.
- Mastery of Figma and modern design tooling, including AI-powered features.
- Comfort using AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar to accelerate prototyping, drafting, and workflow.
- Strong communicator who can present work to engineers, PMs, and executives.
- Conducts user research independently (e.g., interviews, usability tests, and concept validation), and uses findings to drive design decisions.
Bonus Points
- Healthcare, fintech, or other regulated consumer experience.
- Mobile design depth (iOS / Android patterns).
- Design system contribution or ownership.
- Front-end implementation familiarity, including using AI coding tools to prototype in code.
- Brand and marketing design experience.
