About Pallet

Pallet is building AI Agents to transform logistics — a $12 trillion global industry. We’ve raised $50M from top investors, including General Catalyst, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Bain Capital Ventures. In under two years, we’ve achieved 700% revenue growth and are just getting started.

Our mission is to increase the efficiency of the global supply chain by automating the manual workflows that slow logistics teams down — from scheduling and appointment setting to data entry and load management. Our flagship platform provides end-to-end visibility, control, and optimization, while our newest product, CoPallet, introduces AI Agents that can understand and execute requests in real time, and integrate directly with customer systems.

As logistics providers look to generative AI to drive efficiency, many are turning to Pallet to lead the way. With deep industry expertise and cutting-edge AI capabilities, we’re positioned to build the next $10B company in logistics.

Join us and work alongside leaders from Google, DoorDash, YC, and more to shape the future of logistics tech.

$175,000 - $265,000
Full-time / Onsite (5 days/week)

About The Role

Given recent economic shifts, logistics providers and shippers want to capitalize on generative AI to drive business efficiency. As a result, many of them are turning to CoPallet, the first end-to-end service of AI agents and logistics experts, to automate their back-office operations. If we can capture this momentum effectively, we’re on track to build the next $10 billion tech company in logistics.

We're hiring Product Engineers to bridge the gap between customers and our AI platform, customize solutions for enterprise clients, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build our AI product from the ground up. They'll work directly with Aren (ex-Google), Nilkanth (ex-founder, ex-DoorDash), and Vidhur (lead engineer on Document AI at Scale) to shape the future of logistics AI — from how it's built to how it's deployed in the real world.

You could be an engineer anywhere, why us?

  • Join a well-funded, high-growth startup on the path to IPO ($50M raised, 700% revenue growth in 2 years, targeting a $11T market)
  • Work directly with our CTO, ex-YC Founder, Doordash
  • Help transform a massive industry and scale us toward a $10 B+ business

Why this role is different

Product Engineer at Pallet means something specific: you're not just shipping features, you're shaping what the product becomes. You'll work closely with customers, understand their real operational pain, and build the solutions that address it. The feedback loop here is tight, and the stakes are real.

  • Among the first Product Engineers at Pallet, with genuine influence over product direction
  • Full ownership from idea to deployment, building for enterprise logistics clients at scale
  • Direct access to founders and cross-functional teams from day one
  • Meaningful equity in a company targeting a $10B+ outcome

What You’ll Do

  • Build and own core product features that power thousands of AI agents running in parallel to solve real logistics problems
  • Act as the connective tissue between engineering and customers, translating real business needs into reliable, scalable software
  • Design and implement data pipelines and backend systems built to grow from hundreds to millions of users
  • Ship end-to-end features in a SaaS environment where customers see the impact quickly
  • Collaborate with the engineering team on architecture, product decisions, and technical direction
  • Help define what great product engineering looks like at Pallet as an early team member

Who You Are

  • 4+ years of backend or full-stack experience with a track record of owning product surfaces or infrastructure (Mid); 6+ years with deeper architectural ownership and a focus on system quality and long-term maintainability (Senior)
  • Strong backend and systems engineering fundamentals
  • Experience owning core product or infrastructure in a SaaS or platform environment
  • Someone who thinks about reliability, performance, and architecture, not just shipping
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, in-person startup environment
  • Excited to be in the office 5 days a week in SF's Financial District or our NYC satellite office
  • Bonus: Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL (our interviews are language-agnostic)

Our tech stack

  • Database: PostgreSQL
  • Backend: Node.js + TypeScript, Encore for server-side development and managed DevOps, hosted on GCP
  • LLMs: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google (foundation models), Playwright (browser automation)
  • Frontend: React + TypeScript, hosted on Vercel

Interview Process

We move fast, and we’ll keep you informed at every stage of the process.

  • Intro Chat with Head of Talent (30 mins)
  • Technical Screen + Meet and Greet with an Engineer (60 mins)
  • Executive Chat - Nilkanth (Neel) Patel, CTO (30-45 mins)
  • Final Interview, visit our office, and deep dive into technical and behavioral interviews (~3.5-4 hours)

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $175,000 – $265,000, depending on experience and skill set. In addition to base salary, we offer competitive equity, benefits, and growth opportunities. Final compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors, including experience, qualifications, and location.
