We are in relentless pursuit of an equitable and inspiring workplace that is respectful of all, reflects and represents the world in which we live, and fosters trust, collaboration and belonging. Consistent with this approach, we hire the best qualified candidates for all positions.

Edelman is building a new generation of AI-enabled products and workflows to support how communications teams develop earned-first strategy.

We are looking for a Product Manager to own a core part of that experience: helping client teams develop earned-first, data-backed strategy and creative.

This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role at the intersection of AI, product, and marketing. You will work closely with account teams, strategists, creatives, and other subject-matter experts to deeply understand their needs and workflows, then partner with engineering and design to turn those insights into intuitive, scalable products.

The ideal candidate brings strong product management experience in technically complex environments, with the fluency to work side-by-side with full-stack engineers building AI-enabled, data-driven products.

Experience in communications, agency, consulting, marketing, or other client-service environments is also highly valuable.

What you'll do

  • Own the product: Define priorities, roadmap, backlog, and requirements for a core set of earned-first strategy and creative workflows.
  • Research user behavior: Conduct interviews, workflow observation, pilots, and ongoing feedback to understand how teams actually work, where friction exists, and where technology can create meaningful value.
  • Shape the user experience: Translate complex and variable agency workflows into clear user journeys and intuitive product experiences, co-owning problem framing and ideation with UX and engineering teams.
  • Manage stakeholders: Build strong relationships across account teams, strategists, creatives, leadership, and technical partners; align competing needs and turn individual requests into scalable product priorities.
  • Partner with engineering: Translate user and business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and work closely with full-stack engineers throughout design, build, testing, and launch.
  • Build AI-native products: Identify where generative AI, automation, and agentic workflows can meaningfully improve communications work; help define inputs, outputs, context, guardrails, human review, and evaluation approaches.
  • Connect data to workflows: Define the internal and third-party data needed to power product experiences and collaborate with engineering on APIs, integrations, schemas, and data pipelines.
  • Test, learn, and iterate: Prototype ideas quickly, pilot with real users, define success metrics, and use qualitative and quantitative feedback to continuously improve the product.

What we're looking for

  • Approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience in product management, product ownership, digital product delivery, technology or solutions consulting, or a related role.
  • Experience owning technically complex software products or features from discovery and user research through delivery, adoption, and iteration - ideally working closely with full-stack engineering teams.
  • Strong product judgment and technical fluency, with the ability to discuss APIs, integrations, data flows, application architecture, and technical tradeoffs with engineers.
  • Hands-on familiarity with generative AI and modern AI product development, beyond basic end-user use of AI tools.
  • Strong stakeholder research and management skills: you can uncover underlying needs, navigate different perspectives, clarify ambiguity, and build alignment across business and technical teams.
  • Strong instincts around users and UX: you can translate complex workflows into simple, usable experiences and evaluate whether a product is genuinely solving the right problem.
  • Experience in communications, PR, marketing, advertising, consulting, agency, or another client-service environment, with an understanding of how client needs translate into strategy and deliverables.
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, particularly in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Particularly valuable

  • Earned media, corporate communications, communications strategy, or creative strategy experience.
  • Media intelligence, social listening, audience or consumer insights, or other marketing and communications datasets.
  • Third-party data integrations, APIs, and data pipelines.
  • AI-enabled workflow products, RAG, agents, LLM APIs, prompt or context design, or AI evaluation.
  • Hands-on design and/or prototyping using tools such as Figma, Vercel v0, and other AI-assisted development environments.
  • Building internal enterprise products where adoption and change management are critical to success.

The person we're looking for

You are a product thinker, translator, and problem solver. You enjoy spending time with users, understanding how work actually happens, and identifying opportunities they may not articulate themselves.

You can move comfortably between a conversation with an account lead about a client workflow and a conversation with an engineer about how the underlying product should work.

You are curious about AI but pragmatic about where it adds value. And you care as much about whether people understand, trust, and use a product as you do about whether it ships.
