Product Manager, Investor Portal

Job Description

Ares is seeking a highly motivated candidate in the Investor Information Systems team with expertise in Investor Portal data, and processes. Candidate must have strong hands-on technical expertise with Investor Data, Investor Portal, Data Lakehouses, SQL, PowerBI, and financial reporting. Alternative Asset industry experience is required. An ideal candidate should have leadership skills, be an excellent team player, confident & clear in client-facing communications, and be able to articulate business requirements and technical solutions. This individual will partner with the head of Investor Information Systems to manage the team’s roadmap and mentor the team members.

• Requirement Gathering: Leading sessions to gather and document business requirements.
• Project Management: Managing enterprise project plans, timelines, and roadmaps. Monitoring project tasks and controls to ensure projects are on time and within scope and budget.
• System Improvements: Identifying challenges that can be solved with system and/or process improvements and leading the discovery, delivery, and communication of system changes.
• Technical Support: Acting as the go-to person for any technical issues, user inquiries, training issues, and coordination of software customization and implementation.
• Best Practices: Educating and evangelizing CRM and data management best practices to stakeholders to ensure solutions delivered are best of breed
• Extensive experience implementing and managing Investor Portal(s)
• Experienced in Cloud data technology(s) preferably Azure and related products like Data Bricks, Unity Catalog…
• Proficiency in SQL and other data analysis tools, experience with platform integrations, and hands-on expertise with Investor and Fund lifecycle supporting products like Salesforce, PowerBI, and SQL.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to perform data analysis to support business decision-making and to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Communication Skills: Ability to explain technical details effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify opportunities to improve business processes and system workflows.
• Leadership Skills: Leadership skills to manage project milestones and mentor team members

Education: 

• BS or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent technical training and professional work experience

Experience Required:  

• Alternative Assets experience is a must.

• 12+ years of technology domain experience

• Experienced with Investor Portal platform(s) related development, customizations and integrations

• Strong understanding of Investor onboarding and Investor Reporting processes.

• Knowledge and experience in investor data strategy and data transformation programs focusing on data aggregation from multiple sources, transformation, and normalization

• Experience delivering and supporting end to end solutions covering data warehouse/Lakehouse design, data modeling, and BI/reporting  to transform data into valuable business insights

• Working knowledge of partnership accounting and associated workflows and datasets; Investran experience is a huge plus

• Technical proficiency: Hands-on experience with SQL, Power BI, and working with APIs

• Experienced in working on external facing Portal(s) (i.e., investor portal)

• Knowledge of Python and/or Alteryx is nice to have

• Proven track record of successful project management and transformative deliverables

• Experienced working in an Agile/Scrum environment with working knowledge of task management tools like Jira and ServiceNow

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Must have excellent oral and written communication, presenting ideas/updates to stakeholders and team members, meeting facilitation, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

• Experienced in providing end-to-end ownership

• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance applications in iterative release cycles

• Experience with data management concepts like MDM, data quality management, and data governance

• Ability to analyze and document complex business processes and recommended solution options

$230,000 - $250,000
