Job Description:About the Role:

The Product Manager, Subscriber Acquisition, will be responsible for owning and optimizing product experiences at the top of the subscriptions funnel. This involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, specifically Growth Marketing and Audience, to enhance core acquisition touchpoints. Key areas of product ownership include: Registration, Paywall, Shop and Checkout for our entire brand portfolio, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, and MarketWatch. The Product Manager will work as part of a "triad" alongside the Engineering and Design teams to collaboratively plan, define, and execute the overall Commerce roadmap. You will report to the Senior Product Manager - Strategic Products (Americas).

Collaborating closely with our newsrooms and strategic partners, we spearhead the development of groundbreaking products and technologies.

You Will:
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Engineering, and Design to define product requirements and prioritize the Acquisition roadmap

  • Support digital subscription growth by creating and enhancing user experiences across the top of the funnel, including subscription placements, registration prompts, paywalls, shop pages, and checkout

  • Manage an ongoing A/B testing program; defining tests, launching them to production and analyzing their results

  • Perform analysis to demonstrate ROI and impact of product enhancements to help us measure against our subscription goals

  • Work with Data Science and User Research teams to gather and analyze audience feedback regarding our products

You Have:
  • 3+ years of product management experience, with a subscription, direct to consumer, or media focus preferred

  • Some direct experience partnering with a Performance or Growth Marketing team

  • Previous experience with paywalls, checkouts, onboarding or other subscription funnel components

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across the full spectrum of internal stakeholders and seniority levels

  • Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative consumer research to inform your product decisions and roadmap

  • Experience running an A/B testing program from ideation to execution

  • Familiarity with Adobe, Piano Composer, Optimizely or similar technologies are a plus

Pay Range: $120,000 - $150,000
