TheGuarantors is a fintech company helping multifamily owners and operators mitigate leasing risk while expanding access for renters. With a deep understanding of owner, operator, and renter needs, we believe renters deserve better access to the home of their choice and operators deserve greater protection and growth opportunities. That’s why we’re leveraging our real estate expertise and using AI-driven renter underwriting to help operators qualify renters faster while mitigating the financial risk of renter default. With $7B+ in lease value protected, we work with 9 of the country’s top 10 operators, are the #1 lease guarantee provider nationwide, and have consistently been named one of Inc. 5000’s fastest-growing companies, one of Forbes’ Best Startup Employers, and one of Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500.

The Role

TheGuarantors is looking for a Product Manager to help scale Zero Gap Renters Insurance, a new compliance product built for property management companies that want confidence that every unit across a property has required liability coverage.

This product is crossing the threshold beyond the 0-to-1 phase. We have an early signal on customer needs, a clearer path toward product-market fit, and a large opportunity to build a product that can scale profitably. The next chapter is about turning customer learning into a repeatable, reliable, and commercially successful product that can support 100%+ year-over-year top-line growth.

As the Product Manager for Zero Gap Renters Insurance, you will own meaningful product surfaces and workflows across customer, operational, and internal user journeys. You will work closely with design, engineering, insurance, compliance, operations, customer success, and go-to-market teams to improve the product experience, strengthen compliance outcomes, and enable scalable growth.

This is an ideal role for a product manager who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, close to customers, rigorous with data, and excited to build a product that sits at the intersection of SaaS, insurance, compliance, and property management.

What You’ll Do

  • You will help define and execute the product roadmap for Zero Gap Renters Insurance, with a focus on scaling the product from early traction to repeatable growth.
  • You will deeply understand the needs of property management companies, including how they monitor renter compliance, manage liability risk, handle resident exceptions, and evaluate product performance across portfolios.
  • You will partner with engineering and design to build product experiences that are simple, reliable, and scalable for customers and internal teams.
  • You will translate customer feedback, operational insights, and business goals into clear product requirements, prioritization decisions, and measurable outcomes.
  • You will identify opportunities to improve adoption, compliance rates, customer retention, operational efficiency, and profitability.
  • You will work cross-functionally with insurance, legal, compliance, operations, customer success, sales, and finance to ensure the product can scale responsibly and profitably.
  • You will define success metrics, monitor performance, and use data to guide product decisions.
  • You will help bring structure to a product area that is still evolving, balancing speed of learning with the discipline required to support enterprise customers and regulated insurance workflows.
What We’re Looking For
  • At least 2+ years of experience as a product manager, associate product manager, product owner, or in a similar role building software products.
  • You are comfortable working on products that are still maturing, where the right answer is not always obvious, and customer needs are still being discovered.
  • You are strong at turning ambiguous problems into clear product opportunities, requirements, and execution plans.
  • You are analytical and outcome-oriented. You care about metrics, but you also know when to use customer conversations and qualitative insight to shape product direction.
  • You can work effectively with engineers, designers, operators, customer-facing teams, and business stakeholders.
  • You communicate clearly and can explain tradeoffs, priorities, and product decisions to different audiences.
  • You have strong product judgment and know how to balance customer value, business impact, usability, operational complexity, and risk.
  • You are curious, structured, and comfortable learning about insurance, compliance, property management, and regulated workflows.
Nice To Have
  • Experience with B2B SaaS, insurance, fintech, proptech, compliance products, or workflow automation.
  • Experience building products for enterprise or mid-market customers.
  • Experience working on products that moved from early-stage validation into scale.
  • Familiarity with property management companies, renters insurance, liability coverage, or resident compliance workflows.
  • Experience using product analytics, funnel metrics, customer interviews, and experimentation to guide product decisions.

Benefits

  • Opportunities to make an impact within a fast growing company
  • Medical, dental, & vision insurance, beginning day one
  • Health savings account with employer contribution
  • Flexible spending accounts (healthcare, dependent care, commuter)
  • 401(k)
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
  • In-office lunch Perk
  • Flexible working hours
  • Paid parental leave
  • Company sponsored short and long term disability

Base Salary

The base salary range is between $150,000 - $175,00 annually.

Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, location and current market data and may vary from the range above.
