ROLE
This role will own, define and drive the product roadmap for critical internal workflows within our proprietary tools by working with stakeholders, designers, and the engineering team. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to learn, a motivated team player, and who likes to streamline workflows and increase efficiencies with new technology. The ideal candidate is someone who is excited to dive deep into complex business logic, and can emerge on the other side with elegant solutions optimized for our company and staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain a roadmap aligned with end-user needs that feed into your manager’s roadmap and communicate delivery and impact to company goals to stakeholders.
- Work in a cross functional product team with design, engineering, QA, along with other product teams to map out requirements and incrementally deliver clear solutions to complex business problems.
- Lead the prioritization of work and manage requests by examining costs and benefits while maintaining positive and candid relationships with stakeholders.
- Engage in user research and interviews, use data to drive decisions and prioritize work.
- Collaborate with business partners to drive adoption of new tools and product features
- Have strong and clear working relationships with business sponsors, stakeholders, and users of their product. Understand their needs, but can use data to prioritize requests and be persuasive in delivering the right user outcomes.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
Product Execution
- Experience building software solutions for complex business workflows, or deep understanding of auction house property inbound processes.
- Writes clear specifications for features, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and any gathering related documentation or support (comparables, wireframes, flowcharts, etc).
- Identify when and how to collaborate with design to better define the problem being solved and include design in the ideation and solution process.
- Work with larger teams involving technology and business functions, make recommendations that deliver maximum value to the end user as quickly as possible.
- Ensure that all parties involved have a shared understanding of the problem domain and proposed solution.
Product Strategy
- Understand the overall strategic direction of your pillar and the company. Seek to make a meaningful contribution to that strategy via your product work.
- Clearly articulate the goals in your projects that build towards a broader team goal.
- Craft a near-term product roadmap that aligns with the broader Product Management team and company goals.
User & Market Insights
- Proactively gather feedback from stakeholders or team members at relevant phases of the work.
- Distill user feedback in order to make recommendations for future product enhancements.
- Understand the art auction market and its dynamics.
The proposed base salary for this position ranges from $80,000-$90,000. In addition to base salary successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus, as well as a competitive benefits package. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
