Product Manager, AI

Profound is on a mission to help companies understand and control their AI presence. Product managers at Profound are true product owners, responsible for the end to end success of their product: discovery, execution, and delivery. Profound is building the platform for the marketer of the future. We are hiring for a number of product areas, including analytics products that marketing teams use to understand their brand's performance on answer engines, agent platforms where marketers build and orchestrate agents to execute on marketing strategies and automate operations, and vertical solutions built to serve new use cases or strategic customer segments.

As the AI PM, you will own Profound's agent platform including background agents, the agent experience, and the opportunities system that translates AI-generated insights into actions marketers can take. You will define how Profound's agents proactively monitor brand performance, surface opportunities, and communicate insights to customers automatically. This role sits at the intersection of frontier AI capabilities and real marketing workflows, and is for someone who can turn the latest in LLMs and agent systems into product experiences that marketing teams actually use.

• Craft the strategy for Profound's agent platform: background agents, agent experience, and the opportunities surface that makes Profound indispensable to marketing teams

• Define the architecture and UX for how agents monitor brand performance, surface opportunities, and communicate insights to customers without requiring manual analysis

• Expedite execution across engineering, design, data, and marketing by creating clarity, making decisions, and managing scope

• Optimize the team for velocity and quality shots on goal

• Be in front of customers every day to do discovery, get feedback, and sell

• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Engagement teams so that we tell compelling stories to prospects and customers

• 5 or more years of experience building excellent software products, ideally in a startup or fast-moving company

• Domain expertise in AI agent systems, LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI infrastructure. You have built with these technologies, not just read about them.

• Ability to lead cross-functional teams through ambiguity, create clarity, and push teams to ship product and drive impact

• Strong product fundamentals with a spike in one or more of development, data, AI/ML systems, or design

• Willing to roll up your sleeves to help the team execute, whether that means creating prototypes, evaluating model outputs, fixing issues in production, creating content, or responding to support tickets

• You play on offense, creating and running toward opportunities and injecting energy into places where there is none

• Experience as a founder, working at an early-stage startup, or launching zero-to-one AI products is a plus

This is an on-site role based in our Union Square, NYC office, designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and meaningful impact.

For this role, the expected base salary range is $160,000 to $260,000. Profound’s total compensation package is designed to be competitive and includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks. Final compensation will depend on factors such as your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and will be determined during the interview process.
