We’re looking for a talented Product Manager to join our energetic NYC team and help shape the future of renting.

Obligo is on a mission to build trust between renters and landlords and make renting fairer, starting with how security deposits work. We’re looking for a Product Manager in our NYC office to help bring that mission to life.

Every year, US renters tie up billions in security deposits, and the rules for holding them, paying interest on them and returning them differ by state and city. One mistake costs renters money and exposes landlords to legal risk. Obligo replaces that friction with trust. [Add 1–2 real numbers: # of units, partners, or $ volume handled.]

You’ll start where trust matters most: protecting renters and landlords as the rules change around them, and making sure every dollar a renter puts down is handled fairly from the day they move in to the day they move out. Your scope will grow from there.

• Compliance across our products, so that every renter and landlord is protected by the rules that apply to them
• Compliance as product: turning state and local regulations into built-in product behavior instead of manual workarounds
• Partner experience: onboarding, daily workflows and time-to-value for property management companies
• Roadmap and discovery for your area, from framing the problem through launch and iteration

• Spend real time with property managers, learning how their buildings run and where renting breaks down
• Build strong relationships with partners and property management companies: run discovery, gather feedback, and find opportunities
• Turn customer, regulatory, and business needs into clear requirements and priorities
• Define success metrics, instrument them, and use the results to make decisions
• Use AI tools in your own work, and find where AI can automate partner workflows without risking accuracy

• You’ve shipped B2B or B2B2C products and worked directly with enterprise customers or partners
• Be the US-based product point of contact, connecting customer-facing teams in NYC with R&D in Tel Aviv
• You’re as comfortable in a room with a partner’s COO as in a technical tradeoff discussion with engineers
• You use data when you have it and make sound calls when you don’t
• You stay focused on the fundamentals that matter most: money moving correctly, every time

• Strong communication skills, comfortable with partner executives and engineers alike
• Comfortable using data to make decisions
• Enough technical fluency to work through integration and system tradeoffs with engineering
• Able to work from the NYC office 2 days a week and collaborate across time zones

• Experience in proptech or property management software
• Experience in fintech, payments, insurance, or lending

• Partners and property managers find Obligo easy to adopt and rely on
• Compliance is built into the product, not handled through manual workarounds
• Renters get their deposits and interest back accurately and on time
• US customers and R&D have a clear feedback loop that both sides trust

• Salary range: $140,000–$170,000
