Role Details

Role: Product Manager (Financial Services) - Full Time W2

Location: Fully remote, USA

Salary: $130,000 - $160,000

Responsibilities
  • Own product features end-to-end; from discovery and requirements through launch - for trading, onboarding, and custody solutions, working closely with engineering and design in a fast-moving, startup environment.
  • Partner with stakeholders, engineers, and designers to write clear Business Requirements (BRDs) and Product Requirements (PRDs) that translate business goals into actionable specs.
  • Drive the product lifecycle from ideation through launch, ensuring tight alignment between business needs and technical execution across trading, clearing, and broker-dealer onboarding workflows.
  • Define product features and roadmap priorities, balancing short-term delivery with long-term platform scalability.
  • Run Agile ceremonies and sprint planning;  breaking down epics into user stories with crisp acceptance criteria that the team can ship against.
  • Maintain clean, traceable documentation of features, user stories, and tasks in Jira and Confluence.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (broker-dealers, financial institutions) to communicate requirements, manage timelines, and support testing.
  • Serve as a go-to resource for product questions from partners and compliance teams around trading, settlement, and custody operations.
  • Create and maintain product documentation, user guides, and release notes for platform updates and onboarding flows.
  • Track product metrics and use data to assess feature adoption, surface insights, and inform next priorities.
Qualifications
  • 3-5  years of experience in product management or business analysis, ideally at a fintech company, startup, or high-growth technology platform.
  • Hands-on experience with financial products such as trading, payments, lending, custody, or brokerage;  built and shipped in a startup or scale-up context.
  • Comfortable with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product tooling (Jira, Confluence, product analytics platforms).
  • Solid understanding of financial services workflows -  account opening, transaction processing, settlement, or compliance; without needing a big-bank background.
  • Awareness of regulated financial environments and compliance requirements (FINRA, SEC) is a plus, but a willingness to learn in a highly regulated space matters more than years in traditional finance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; you can work effectively with both engineers and business stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to write user stories, process flows, and product documentation that a cross-functional team can  execute against.
  • Ability to translate complex financial or regulatory requirements into clear, shippable product specs.
Nice to Have
  • Prior experience at a fintech startup, challenger bank, or 0→1 product environment where you helped build something from scratch.
  • Knowledge of digital assets, blockchain technology, or cryptocurrency platforms.
  • Familiarity with broker-dealer operations, clearing and settlement systems, or introducing broker relationships.
  • Experience working with API integrations and modern web application architectures.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity - you know how to make progress when the path isn't fully defined yet.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Health, Vision & Dental Insurance.
  • Fully remote position with equipment provided.
  • Stock Options.
