Head of ProductPosition Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Product Operations Manager to join the Bullish Product Management team.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the Product Management organization operates efficiently and consistently. Reporting to the Head of Product, you will design and implement processes, frameworks, and tooling best practices (with a strong emphasis on Jira) to streamline product development, backlog management, and roadmap reporting. You will combine your deep understanding of “what good Product Management looks like” with your expertise in process design and tool administration to empower product teams with the structure they need (while maintaining each team’s autonomy to innovate).
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a problem solving spirit that is passionate about building and organizing a great Product Management organization in the digital assets space.
Responsibilities:
Process Documentation & Standardization
Develop, maintain, and evolve the overarching Product Management playbook, clearly outlining processes for discovery, delivery, prioritization, and release.
Collaborate with Product Managers to capture team-specific workflows while highlighting best practices and shared standards.
Jira Administration & Optimization
Serve as the Jira subject matter expert, ensuring proper configuration, access, and usage across all product teams.
Partner with Product Managers to design Jira workflows that balance consistency with team autonomy.
Continually refine and optimize Jira boards, dashboards, and reporting to increase transparency and efficiency.
Analytics
Incorporate analytics into product management practices (e.g. proficiency with BI tools Tableau, Looker, etc.) or strong experience setting up dashboards that track product delivery metrics (e.g. velocity, cycle times, etc.)
Backlog Management & Roadmap Reporting
Define consistent templates and guidelines for backlog management, sprint planning, and release tracking.
Establish a standardized approach to product roadmaps (both short-term and long-term), ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
Implement automated reporting and dashboards in Jira (or complementary tools) to provide clarity on product progress, status, and risk areas.
Training & Coaching
Provide ongoing training, documentation, and support to Product Managers and cross-functional stakeholders on product management methodologies, processes, and tools.
Act as a champion for Agile and Lean principles, ensuring teams adopt the mindsets and techniques that drive efficient, customer-centric product development.
Continuous Improvement
Regularly assess the effectiveness of product management practices, providing recommendations for improvement based on metrics and feedback.
Monitor industry trends and emerging tools to keep the organization’s product management function state-of-the-art.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with Engineering, Design, Operations, and other stakeholders to gather input, align on processes, and resolve bottlenecks in product delivery.
Partner with leadership to ensure product objectives are clearly communicated and integrated into broader organizational goals.
Qualifications:
5+ years in Product Management, Product Operations, or related roles where you led or contributed to process improvement and tool administration
Hands-on experience setting up and administering Jira in a product development context (including complex workflows, advanced roadmaps, custom fields, dashboards, etc.)
Experience with additional project management platforms or integrations (e.g., Confluence, Trello, Asana) is a plus
Proficiency in using data analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Google Analytics), running SQL queries, and leveraging product analytics platforms to inform decision-making
Strong knowledge of Agile, Lean, and general product management best practices
Proven track record of designing, documenting, and rolling out standardized frameworks across multiple teams
Ability to influence without direct authority, partnering effectively with Product Managers and technical teams
Comfortable acting as a change agent, persuading teams of new ways of working while respecting their autonomy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complex processes into simple, digestible guidelines and training materials
Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working in a dynamic organization where priorities can change frequently
Experience working in a distributed organization
Extra Points:
Demonstrated success in scaling product operations across multiple teams, particularly during periods of rapid growth or organizational change
Demonstrated success administering tools and processes for distributed or remote teams, including asynchronous collaboration strategies and advanced Jira usage (e.g., for cross-time-zone release planning)
Exposure to both large-scale enterprise environments (where standardized processes are the norm) and smaller, nimble start-ups (where adaptability and autonomy are key). This breadth of experience helps balance structure with agility
Formal certifications like Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC). This not only shows their dedication to best practices but also ensures a common language when discussing Agile frameworks
Passion for the digital asset industry, a proactive approach to learning, and a keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest trends and developments
