About the team

Product Sales is a team of deep functional and technical specialists who both lead and advise on deals for the most strategically important products in Stripe’s portfolio. Stripe is investing in building out its Capital Product Sales team and as the Global Head of Capital Sales, you will be a critical part of the leadership team driving the growth of the Capital on a global scale. Few roles provide such a direct impact on the growth of a top company priority.

What you’ll do
  • As the Global Head of Capital Sales you will lead a team of high-performing sales executives while helping them deliver on ambitious targets for Capital.
  • We are looking for a self-starter who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, operating in a high-growth environment, and solving complicated problems with limited oversight.
  • Ideal candidates will have sales management and leadership experience bringing a new product to market, scaling a technology sales team, excellent communication skills, and a knack for understanding customer needs.
Responsibilities
  • Recruit, develop and lead a team of product sales executives focused on the Capital business
  • Create go-to-market plans and solutions to meet our customer needs, in collaboration with Product, Sales, SDR, Finance, Partner and Marketing stakeholders.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, with a focus on performance against key sales metrics.
  • Be accountable for driving revenue, increasing attach rates, and new client acquisition at high rates of growth.
  • Coach and guide the team in developing consultative and solution-based sales skills through all facets of the sales cycle.
  • Get hands on engaged in the largest, most strategic opportunities, leading executive relationships and helping the team win new customers.

  • Inspire, motivate, and enable individual development to promote career growth of direct reports.
  • Lead with clarity and context with a compelling plan in line with Stripe’s direction.
  • Create structure and focus for GTM ideas and product sales campaigns that the product team is exploring. Drive execution and measurement. Analyze results and make recommendations for action in a timely manner.
  • Constantly innovate and improve programs and program management mechanisms, suggesting new ideas, sharing best practices, and improving the business and customer engagement model.

Minimum requirements
  • 10+ years of technology sales experience
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience
  • 3+ years of experience in payments or financial services industry
  • Proven track record of high performance in a new business sales and existing customer upselling role for enterprise customers
  • Ability to hire, train, and coach a high-performance sales team, and work in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to build cross-functional relationships, motivate others, drive collaboration, teaming & resolve conflict between diverse stakeholder groups
  • High energy, strong work ethic, disciplined execution skills, willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver results
