Position Summary

The Product Sales Manager (PSM), Robotic Solutions – NAM, is responsible for driving new business growth and expanding existing revenues across the North American market. This role focuses on both direct engagement with end users and the development of a strong integrator and reseller network.

Acting as a key commercial and technical interface, the PSM supports customers and partners both in the field and remotely, providing product expertise, identifying new opportunities, and maintaining awareness of market trends. Success in this role requires a proactive, results-driven individual with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to gain buy-in from customers, integrators, and internal stakeholders. The position plays a critical role in growing ESAB’s Robotics, Digital, HIP, and High-Technology product portfolio across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Market Development

  • Drive robotic solution sales across end-user accounts and expand ESAB and EWM market share within the integrator network.
  • Build, develop, and manage an effective integrator and reseller network across North America.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue across Robotics, WeldCloud, HKS, EDGE, TBi, and EWM product lines.
  • Aggressively engage end users by delivering the full ESAB and EWM total value proposition to increase market penetration and share.
  • Build and expand direct and indirect sales channels to achieve regional sales targets.

Product & Technical Leadership

  • Develop strong working knowledge across the full Robotic Digital Solutions (RDS) portfolio, including WeldCloud, HKS, EDGE, TBi, and EWM, with support from ESAB Application Engineers and product experts.
  • Provide technical sales support, product demonstrations, and customer training where required to drive positive commercial outcomes.
  • Promote ESAB and EWM products with a strong focus on Robotics, Digital, HIP, and High-Technology offerings.

Strategic Account & Channel Support

  • Manage strategic relationships with key customers, integrators, and partners.
  • Work closely with Key Account Managers to develop targeted growth strategies, including training support, joint customer activities, and tailored sales programs.
  • Support and promote corporate and regional strategic initiatives focused on top-line growth, Robotics, Digital solutions, HIP, and high-technology products.

Internal Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with product management and marketing teams to continuously improve product offerings and go-to-market strategies.
  • Maintain accurate customer data, sales pipelines, and forecasts within the CRM system.
  • Generate reliable sales forecasts and provide timely reporting to sales leadership.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required to support ESAB’s overall business strategy.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline strongly preferred; alternatively, ten (10) years of successful industrial sales experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated above-average sales performance over the past three (3) or more years.
  • Proven experience selling complex technical or capital equipment solutions, preferably in robotics, automation, or industrial technology markets.

Skills & Competencies

  • Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and able to operate independently.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to create and deliver compelling customer presentations.
  • Proven ability to develop quotations, negotiate pricing, and successfully close sales.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence customers and internal stakeholders.

Working Conditions

  • Position involves remaining stationary approximately 50% of the time, with additional physical activity including standing, walking, stooping, and stair climbing.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when visiting manufacturing or plant locations.
  • Regular use of office productivity tools including computers, tablets, mobile phones, and printers.
  • Ability to move, transport, push, or pull equipment or materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Travel requirement of up to 80% within North America.
