Position Overview

Cast & Crew is looking for a Product Solutionist to be the technical backbone of our sales motion across film, television, and live entertainment. This is not a traditional pre-sales role — it's the rare combination of deep product expertise and genuine client instinct. You run discovery. You demo. You answer the hard questions in the room. And when it comes to our existing client base, you're in those conversations too, helping clients get more value from what they already have.

You know how production companies think. You can translate payroll infrastructure and digital workflows into language that resonates with a production CFO and an on-set PA in the same afternoon. You're comfortable owning a meeting solo and equally comfortable playing the expert partner alongside a Sales AE. You don't wait for a script — you read the room and adapt.

This role covers the New York and New Jersey markets, with regular presence at client locations, production offices, and industry events. You'll work alongside Account Executives focused on Live Entertainment and Film & TV, acting as the technical SME from first meeting through close — and in some cases, well beyond.

Key Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of Cast & Crew's product ecosystem or a directly comparable SaaS platform in entertainment payroll, production finance, or digital onboarding
  • Experience in a pre-sales, solutions consulting, sales engineering, or technical account management role within a SaaS environment
  • Ability to run a compelling, tailored product demo that speaks to the audience — not a scripted walkthrough
  • Comfortable owning RFP responses, security questionnaires, and technical discovery sessions independently
  • Strong enough understanding of payroll models, employer-of-record services, and production workflows to hold your own with finance and operations stakeholders
  • Familiarity with the entertainment industry — how film, TV, and live productions are staffed, budgeted, and run
  • Based in or closely connected to the New York/New Jersey metro area; able to be on-site at client locations regularly

What You'll Do

  • Partner with Sales AEs across the full revenue cycle — from discovery and demo through proposal, objection handling, and close — as the product expert in the room
  • Lead tailored product demonstrations that connect Cast & Crew's capabilities directly to each prospect's operational reality and pain points
  • Run consultative discovery sessions to understand client workflows, surface unmet needs, and build solution recommendations grounded in real product capability
  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires with accurate, well-positioned content that moves deals forward
  • Engage the existing client base in an advisory capacity — identifying expansion opportunities, reinforcing adoption, and surfacing product gaps back to the business
  • Bring structured voice-of-the-customer insights from the field to Product and Marketing teams to inform roadmap prioritization and go-to-market positioning
  • Represent Cast & Crew at industry events, trade shows, and client engagements across the New York and New Jersey market
  • Stay sharp on competitive dynamics, product roadmap evolution, and industry trends — you're the person the sales team calls when they need the answer

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years in a pre-sales, solutions consulting, sales engineering, technical account management, or client-facing implementation role, ideally in a SaaS environment
  • A track record of running product demonstrations, managing complex RFP responses, and influencing deals through technical credibility
  • Experience with entertainment industry payroll, production finance, digital onboarding, or employer-of-record services is a strong plus
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales enablement tools (Salesforce, HubSpot); comfortable demoing SaaS platforms live in front of clients and executives
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — with the ability to adapt your message for everyone from end users to C-suite stakeholders
  • Self-directed and organized; able to manage multiple accounts and opportunities simultaneously without losing momentum
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools within your discipline- able to speak to specific tools used, workflow integration, and measurable business impact- with a drive to continuously experiment with and apply emerging AI capabilities.
  • Ability to travel 25%-30% with reliable access to client locations across NYC, Jersey City, and surrounding areas; flexibility to work evenings or weekends during active production periods as needed
