JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Production Assistant to join "The Big Money Show" on Fox Business. You are a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. You are comfortable working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You have an interest in news and want to pursue a career in tv. As the Production Assistant, you have a 'good eye' for what leads to the most creative and compelling TV screen.

You will be offered the following shift:

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM ET - 3:00 PM ET

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pitch story ideas relevant to the Big Money Show themes

  • Cut relevant video and sound for segments

  • Handle graphic elements for the show and social media

  • Support senior staff in the newsroom and control room

  • Interact with and support on-air talent 

  • Develop news writing skills and work towards producing segments independently

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

  • A passion for current events and business news

  • Knowledge of newsroom functions

  • Familiarity with digital editing platforms, such as Dalet and iNews

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong social media skills

  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $19.00-27.65 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
