Supports fashion production operations by tracking pre-production and top-of-production samples, managing trim layouts and labeling requirements, coordinating with overseas vendors, maintaining tracking sheets, supporting product testing and compliance, and collaborating with design, packaging, development, and quality assurance teams to meet production timelines.
Job Summary:
The Production Assistant is responsible for providing support to the Production team in the day-to-day operations in their designated area (accessories or bodywear/legwear). This position will be involved in daily projects and responsibilities such as sample management, product testing, factory compliance, and quality assurance. The Production Assistant will help facilitate the execution of the department initiatives and goals.
Essential Functions (Including but not limited to):
- Request, track and review pre-production and top of production samples
- Maintain sample tracking sheet and submitting samples to licensor
- Review and manage trim layouts such as packaging, UPC stickers and other label requirements.
- Gather customer compliant requirements from sales and communicate such to vendors for accurate labeling.
- Build customer specific labeling worksheet.
- Daily communication with overseas vendors.
- Track samples with our overseas vendors and maintain internal sample tracking sheets.
- Work closely with design, packaging, and development team for samples.
- Report directly to the production manager or director for sample and trim timelines.
- Work with Compliance-QA Team to obtain product fiber contents.
- Perform any other duties as assigned in support of the company needs and operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; prior office experience or education in a related field preferred.
- Experience in production or manufacturing, in the Fashion Industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic database systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workloads.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
