ABC News’ “20/20” award-winning prime-time news magazine is hiring a PA/Social Media Editor to provide editorial and logistical support for all aspects of production. The PA will work directly with producers, editors, crews, and talent.
The PA's top responsibilities, when working on a story, will include administrative tasks, gathering media, and providing research to producers.
When working on digital initiatives, the PA will produce vertical video, translate broadcast episodes into social rollouts, and edit broadcast material into other formats. Candidates will be expected to join breaking news specials for the network, when necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and organization skills, attention to detail is essential
- Strong knowledge of archival and digital resources for video and still images
- Basic understanding of production technology in both pre- and post- production, such as Avid/Adobe
- Strong skills in navigating social media and creating content
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of non-linear editing (Avid/Adobe) is a plus
- Basic editing skills on Avid is a plus
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree
