HANAC is seeking a Temporary Program Assistant to support program operations during an employee leave of absence. This position will assist with administrative and fiscal functions of the program and may substitute for the Program Director when necessary.

This is a temporary assignment expected to last approximately 2–3 months, or until the employee on leave returns, whichever occurs first. The assignment may be extended based on program needs.

Rate of Pay: $23.00 per hour

Work Schedule:
Monday – Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Thursday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Maintain the petty cash system and related documentation

  • Perform DFTA unit data entry and reporting

  • Assist with case assistance program unit goals

  • Maintain financial ledgers including cash receipts and disbursements

  • Prepare monthly fiscal reports and submit to the Fiscal Department

  • Maintain accurate program filing systems and records

  • Provide general administrative support including light typing and telephone coverage

  • Assist the Program Director with operational and administrative tasks

  • Substitute for the Program Director when necessary

  • Assist with maintaining food inventory records

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma required

  • At least two years of bookkeeping coursework or one year of experience as a full-charge bookkeeper

  • Administrative or supervisory support experience preferred

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel

Additional Information

This is a temporary position intended to cover an employee leave of absence. Employment in this role is not guaranteed beyond the duration of the leave.
