Job Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Provides administrative assistance to the Launch team and generally coordinates shipping of pilot seats, including all tracking, labeling, and transportation arrangements.  Works on the floor to help review, label, and pack pilot/test seats as required. Leads cross-functional team on tracking part changes and ensuring PCP (plant change process) is followed and documented. Document and handle the running of all Product Evaluation Runs (PERs)/trials and lead communication to the customer with all tracking requirements.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drives and coordinates launch and change-related activities with plant cross-functional teams and suppliers
  • Provides regular updates on all open issues/status, ensuring all activities are completed on time and within the target framework
  • Maintains and updates the Magna Seating Detroit PCP database
  • Facilitates weekly meetings to discuss upcoming new product launches with the MSD cross-functional team
  • Leads pre-production builds and PERs to ensure all MSD departments are aware of the customer delivery requirements – reports results to MSD plant management
  • Ensures all MSD departments have updated the documentation for new changes, per the PCP process
  • Understands the scope and timing for engineering changes from Corporate Engineering and establishes timing and activities to implement the change at the Seating plant per the PCP process

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Education/Certification/Licensure:

  • Active enrollment in an accredited educational institution pursuing a degree in business management or engineering.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team oriented, communicates well with others, and able to interact with people at all levels and departments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various manufacturing/business information software.
  • Excellent time management skills. 
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks. 
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings. 
  • Understanding of Bill of Material (BOM) structures and development, and part numbering systems.
